Nice. The waterblock definitely does make the case feel bigger.

Love the color change - the clear tubing really matches with the "silvery" vibe the case has going on. Will you use water/clear fluid?

I'll be using the Feser F1 Blue premix.

Charles' murderBox 008 was what made me get into watercooling in the first place, so this is a kind of tribute.
Therefore I want to implement some of the theme it had.

Kind of a dream come true - in a smaller scale.
Probably going to get some haters because of this.

I'm thinking white PSU and if it fits the colour scheme, painting the radiator white as well, since its paint is already chipped.

Nothing is 100% planned yet though, I think I'll just go with the flow and see how it turns out.

I figured as much. Just found it amusing that with all the trouble he went through to take good photos that it wasn't removed.

It's pretty much just point and shoot, and the res get scratches super easy so it just wasn't worth it.

In saying that, I would also like to see the res look more straight up and down.
I take it that the return hose from the rad is pushing the res over.
As there looks to be a lot of flex in the tube that joins the res and pump together.
Shortening the return hose should help, or maybe just a single res bracket at the top would be enough.

I have two mounts on their way over here, they should arrive some time next week.
The whole pump-res package will be lifted so that the res is above the GPU, and the pump is somewhere around the top of the fan opening.
It will be hard mounted with a custom bracket.

Or this is my plan, if it doesn't work out I'm open to suggestions.

You actually should put the photo's aside, I just wish I could but this is a hobby that really haunts me.
Sometimes I get a bit to artistic and you can't see much at all.

Here's yet another batch of photos, but I rather have too many than too few in the end.

I raised the reservoir so that it no longer hits the GPU, it's not much clearence but at least it's some.
It should stay somewhat straight until I get my holders.


I'm not very pleased with the rad-res tubing covering the GPU-block, but it seems like this is how it has to be, at least for now.


I want to raise the pump up a bit, preferably so that the fittings between it and the res meet up, but at this moment I'm not willing to sacrifice my tubing route for that.


This leaves me with a few things to wonder about and hopefully solve until next time.

I'll give it a shot again, but I think this can work out quite well.

- Rotate the res about 10~15 degrees towards the motherboard, put a 90-deg rotary fitting on the top side of the GPU block, put tubing directly between the res and the GPU - a straight shot.
- Keep the GPU -> CPU routing
- Keep the CPU -> Rad routing
- Put a 45-deg rotary fitting on the rad farthest from the motherboard, connect to the pump - a straight shot.



I think this would look much cleaner and spacious.

It would look spacious but I'm not so sure about dumping the bendy routing as I've grown quite fond of it.
I'm also a bit sceptical to the use of a single 45 dregree on the radiator, it would probably look weird if there were only one 45 on the rad, and the 90 deg on top of the GPU would block quite a lot of the top of GPU block itself as the case doesn't have a top window.

But if I route it that way, I sure can raise the pump a bit without problem.
I'll give it a try and come back to you, this time I'll take som pics too!

If it doesn't work out, I think it's possible to lift the pump about 10-15mm without problem with the current route, it could be enough.

My humble 2c on tube routing if you don't mind: I'd do pump -> CPU -> Rad -> GPU -> Res. You'll need 2x90s on the GPU, rest should be fine. Raise the pump by about 2cm so the pump-to-CPU line is level.

just wondering, if you're using a matx motherboard, could you place the drives underneath the 5.25" bays (i'm assuming that's where they are originally) and have room on top of the case for another rad?

how much space is available on top if you're using the 5.25" bays?
and is there a point in putting a 1x140 rad up there?
