Finally made 2750+ NB wooT. Anyone have suggestions for a NB stability test to tweak volts? Oddly enough better Ram is what got me over the hump. I did get a new 600watt psu to not sure if thats helping either...
ASROCK 970 Extreme 3 // FX-6200 @ 4.65 (245x? 64bit os) 1.45v,2200 nb/HT //8GB Mushkin DDR3 @833 8-8-8-24 cmd1 1.55v // HD7850// Silverstone 650w // ~32inch portal // WDgreen and blue // Kingston v300 120GB SSD // watercooled with Swiftech storm rev2, Fez 240 , 655 pump not packed into a Corsair Obsidian 650D///
I use nb@ 2.8 1.375v and it's stable!![]()
NB is interesting to say the least. I was at 3.7ghz 2376NB with 1.4VNB and got BSODs. Bumped the VNB up to 1.425 and my stability issues went away. I'm now pushing 3.8ghz 2620NB with the same 1.425VNB and no issues. Haven't tried further but I highly doubt 2882 (next step, 262*11) would be even remotely stable seeing as that's an impressive NB clock even for the new C3 chips.
2708 SUCKS (with my configuration at least). Was having stability issues and sure enough linX crashed after about 10 minutes when I ran it. Flashed back to 2405 based on izallica's recommendation and sure enough I was stable again. Actually, my GFLOPS are more consistent than before with 2603 or whatever it was.

so far with the 2708 i've noticed the
ht speed option doesn't display 2000, it shows 2200 twice
but works normal first one is 2000 second is actually 2200

My board having a vcore problem.the voltage is incorrect where it sits at 1.088v.(amd cool n quite disabled by default). Which my target is 1.375v for Phenom 965be @ default speed 3.4ghz. so it cannot load windows, when i change manual vcore it need 1.65v then hardware monitor show 1.40v & load to windows succesfully.
I do clear cmos, changing psu, try another bios but problem still appears, vcore drop to 1.088v with all auto setting on bios & cannot load to windows.
Any ideas ?

Never seen anything like that before
Did you tried taking out the battery for about 10-15 minutes when clearing CMOS? Or reflashing the BIOS?

Cpu-z 1.54 shows Southbridge as "ID439D' not SB750. Vcore is correct now.
Any practical difference with 3204 bios ? Stability/OC -wise ?
anyone done any testing on this Bios, anymore stable ?

Sadly, i checked new bios and it still has the same Raid Rom ver. 3.0.1540.59 .
I am aware of a newer version, 3.2.1540.6 but haven't seen it yet in other board than one GB that i also have.
Effect of this newer rom is faster disc scanning at bootup, as far as i've seen in my testing.
