    cheers guys

    baz- haha thats cool!

alright heres my new little guy
    whats next:
-I have the top to the evap drawn up in cad, gotta run it through cam and make a top. it has a nifty little trick to it too.
-Program the slitting saw, by hand, to run around the side for a snap ring.
-make a jig for hold downs so i make some hold downs with a good finish
-send it off to have it tested, tester going to throw it on a system and if it works well, im going to make a bunch of them. if it works just mediocre, i will change a couple things. I highly doubt it will be a poor performer, but only time will tell.

bead blasted... needs to be deburred i really need a new deburring tool, broke my old cheap one.

i should be able to get the first evap finished by sunday...

    cheers

Wow... great design. Hope it does what you intended it to do.

Please report back your findings, one of my coming singlestages is having a similar evap design.

I fear this; the evaporator design is very short. If anything I've seen in testing, the longer pathway is so much more beneficial to have. Sure you've got good surface area, and you seem to be banking on some kind of turbulence that I don't think really will occur, but it's just not that long. That's like using a 8" piece of 3/8" tubing as your evaporator.

If you have a cooling question or concern feel free to contact me.

thanks for your advice but there have been several high performing evaporators that are much shorter in length then this one

how does this new evap compare to your old ones in performance terms?

side question: has any tested the differences from spirals and maze evaps? just wonder
    thanks

Hey Reed one thing you might want to try instead of having to program by hand for the slitting saw. Just make a end mill at whatever the size of the slitting saw 3 inches 5 inches whatever you need. Then in the software just set the depth and the path you need will require a little work but better than doing it by hand.
