    Which 5850?

    I plan to get a 5850 to replace my Saphire 3870. I am so looking forward to the performance boost, but the question is which one?

    I have read many reviews and it seems that most are based on ATI/AMD's reference design so there is little to differentiate. I am thinking that Asus is the way to go.

    What are the thoughts of XS members on this?
    Fun Box: Asus P8Z68-V GEN3++Corsair AX850++i5 2500k@4.5Ghz-1.272v++Corsair A50++2x8Gb Corsair Vengeance++MSI R7970 Lightning++Audigy2 Plat-EX++TBS 6280 DVB-T2 tuner++256Gb OCZ Vertex 4.500Gb Caviar Black.500Gb Seagate Barracuda++Sony AD7240s++Lian-Li PC-60++Linux Mint/Win 7++Asus P238Q

    Quantum theory in a nutshell: It's so small we don't know where it is, it could be here, it could be there.

    Just 'cos it's legal don't make it right.

    Find the lowest price - there is a pretty good deal on slickdeals.net right now. It is a VisionTek for about $260

    That's a nice deal, works out at around £175, I live in the UK though

    Thanks for the tip about the MSI utility Mr. Morello, but as WrigleyVillain mentioned that will work on any reference 5850.

    Yeah dell has the VistonTek for cheap, I was thinking of jumping on, would the EK water block work with the VistonTek? Will I get the errors the 5870's and 5970's are getting on water with these cards?

    XFX -> lifetime warranty and the warranty stays if you mod it.

    Oh.. bleh. just noticed you're in the UK.. Whichever one is cheapest then.
