2 X Ultra 1600's should power this up with some cards no problem. Just use a adapter to use both PSU's and make sure they are plugged into separate household power loops. I am thinking of a custom case for this monster.

Dam thats the most awesome board, sorry if its already been asked, but would I be able to use my W3540 and W3570 together on this board (these CPUs only have 1 QPI link)? What about just one of them?

Looks pretty sweet! But how are they going to cool the NB and NF200s, as a full heatsink would interfere with the PCIe slots?
    Regards,

    Want Want Want Want

Core 2 Duo(Conroe) was based on the Intel Core Duo(Yonah) which was based on the Pentium M(Banias) which was based on the Pentium III(Coppermine).

Core 2 Duo is a Pentium III on meth.

I'm pretty use they use a full low profile heatsink.

But I think it'll be pretty hot underfull load.

You have to take into account the price of ECC Ram aswell , specially if you want to populate it all.

I for one won't use a board with over 12GB if it wasn't ECC.

But then again anyone buying this obviously doesn't care about money

PCB layout must have a nightmare with a capital HELLISH. Its... very big and i'd be impressed if it hit even $550, seeing as "standard" classifieds here are £300-odd

Surely it won't require ECC ram.

I'm pretty sure the ES Westmere EP's going around support non ECC, but i'll stand corrected.

Judging from the photo you can see OCZ platinum ram in it, meaning non ECC support.

But will you really take the risk running 24GB ram that does not support ECC?

That's just asking for errors and problems to arrise when doing HPC work.

For HPC yes, but for benching 12gb or even 6 will suffice. If I get errors it will be because 2200mhz+ cas 7 needs more volts
