    3.9ghz with 1.39v

idle temps 27-33 (some cores higher temps upto 33c)
Full Load (Prime95 or OCCT) 67-71c
    Gaming or 3Dmark 55c

H50-1 fits perfect in a Antec 300 case, only prob is i wonder if an ATI 5870 would fit in my case. I know the 5850 does. Do u need to buy a case aswell?

yah prob gonna get another antec 902 like i got up at work.

Also this new Roswell case looks very interesting with the fan layouts and lower price

I like the 902 because you can create a cpu air tunnel in the upper drive bays cools mem & cpu good.

http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=19073&page=7 your idle is inline... with reviews low 30s

    http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...1&limitstart=6
Prolimatech Megahalem is hitting low 20s all air no water on 1366 chips. I cant see it being much different on 1156 sockets

I really want to be in the low 20s at idle

My office is too hot after business hours and limited me on OC limit. I dont like pushing past 65d at full load while oc. Since my house is colder & my office is in the coldest room in the house i should have no restrictions here.

Still reading more about the H50-1 not ruled out, sure is clean looking after installed.

hey pat I see what you mean by the other core being way cooler than the other one. that is just a software bug.. I would just go by the higher of the 2. can you tell me what date/batch your 530 is? I have one here that is L939B675/ ver E81102-001 /DATE 12/07/09
i just got the cpu today and havent opened the box yet. The P7P55D dlx should be here on monday and its getting insulated as soon as i open the box.
I want to get this thing rolling asap so any quirks/tips you guys can give me I'd appreciate it. I downloaded the new bios and files and are on thumb drive ready to go. My main concern is I am using this with a LSI 9260-4i raid card and I have had bad luck lately with boards being able to run the card in the x16 slots since its a pcie8x card a lot of the time the boards cant see the card since the x16 slots are coded for gfx only. also if anyone is successfully using a raid card like mine on the P7P55D dlx let me know.
here's a good question if you populate the 1st x16 slot with the vga card and the 2nd slot with a x8 raid card. do you think the board will default to x8 / x8 or will it run at x16 /x8 like i am hoping for? I might just have to run it in the last x4 slot so I dont lose all my 5850 bandwidth.

    Question:

I got the P7P55D-E and apparently skimmed the 8x/4x mode thing for the PCI-E. I'm running Crossfire (a carry-over from my older Maximus/Rampage rig) with a pair of 4890's and am wondering if perhaps there's a BIOS hack or something to enable the second slot to work at 2.0 8x like it does on the "higher spec" versions of the board, like the EVO and the Deluxe. Or is this actually a hardware thing?
    Board: ASUS P7P55D-E
    CPU: i5 750 @ 4Ghz w/Corsair CWCH70
RAM: 4x 2GB Corsair Dominator sticks at 1600Mhz
    Video: ASUS ATI Radeon 5870
    Case: Lian Li PC75
    PSU: ANTEC 850W
    Linux: Fedora Core 14 x86_64
Windows: Windows 7 Pro x64 for the odd game.

how to determine intel chipset driver revision, win 7

    I have a P7P55D with bios 1207 running a fresh install of Win 7 64

How can I determine the Intel chipset driver revision?

The Intel readme refers to items which don't appear in my device manager listing

MPS Uniprocessor PC -OR- MPS Multiprocessor PC
    ....
    PCI standard host CPU bridge
    -or-
    PCI standard ISA bridge
    -or-
    PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
    -or-
    PCI System Management Bus
    -or-
    Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller
    -or-
Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller

Attached is a screenshot of my device manager pci bus listings.

Which item in the list is the Intel chipset driver associated with?

I do not seem to have that BCLK wall.

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1040909

225BCLK as a quick test. will try later more.

    VCORE @ 1.6
    IMC @ 1.34
    PLL @ 1.9
    PCH @ 1.15

If only i could set VTT i could do higher

Apparently IMC can be set right up to 1.45 "safely" i have yet to test this but i have seen many 24/7 configs with IMC set over 1.4

having some memory issues here...it would be great if someone could help.

I have just got a new setup running:

    • i3 530
    • P7P55D Deluxe
    • G.Skill Ripjaw 1600 CL7

My problem is that for some reason the memory timings are not sticking. I enter 8,8,8,24 in the BIOS yet it will automatically change to 9 in windows. Is this because it's not stable or what? I am running the latest 1307 BIOS

I am running 1.625 vdimm and 1.25V on the IMC. I have tried up to 1.65Vdimm and 1.3V on the IMC and also loading the XMP profile with all the same results :/

windows will report the cas incorrectly. i found an updated version of cpu-tweaker 1.4 beta 10, here at XS which reports it correctly. i think in a i5 6xx thread. the bios is the correct reading for cas latency

using my P7P55D, i was only able to run ram @ 1800mhz, dual channel mode. anyhoo, it will run both ram modules @ 2000mhz, but only in single channel mode. any ideas why this is happening?
