I've got no strings to hold me down.
To make me fret, or make me frown.
I had strings but now I'm free.
There are no strings on me
Am I misunderstanding the topic title? "Asking for normal 24/7 water or 24/7 air, nothing chilled"
Do you want 24/7 results or highest possible cpuz validation?
I hope I'm doing this right. I put all I could on this for proof. My validation is in my sig. I have been running this 955BE at a consistent stable 3.9 since July this year. Temps vary from when my wife decides she's cold and cranks up the heat. It is cooled with an H50 in a push/pull config.
Sorry for the small thumbnail but when shrinking it in paint it has a tendency to lose quality. I haven't installed GIMP on this machine yet.![]()

1.53 is a pos. 1.52 validated no problem and seeing the issues above, it must be deneb related.

There was already a highest validation thread I started........I dont see why this was started also? ambiant Air /water, cold air/cold water........it doesnt really make a difference in either case no one can run the cpu at their highest validation

The title is what's wrong.
"Who here has 4.6ghz validation on air or water??"
First off, that is asking for a specific frequency, this thread is not. That thread has more of a competition feel, while this one is more for collecting a broad range of data.
This thread " Phenom II Air/Water CPU-Z Validation Thread:"
Much more inviting for everyone to participate.

Exactly. I created this thread to be more of a database, to see which CPU's fit where, which weeks scale higher, and what C2/C3 revisions of several CPU's can do. If anyone was around back in the Athlon X2 stepping F3 days you would know there was a CPU-Z overclock "database" just like this thread.

Yes, got it.
Collecting useless data as i don't see any point in a system that's just stable enough to validate.
If it is more stable than that why not show a benchmark?
Putting in some competition like Titan7171 did makes it more of a challenge to me (and some others).
Each to their own i guess but calling it a e-peen sword fight because you feel left out isn't very kind imho.
Don't take it personal RM, just my opinion, feel free to have and speak out yours here.![]()

I feel its important having a goal and 4.6ghz is pretty much 95-98% of what these cpu's can do on air or water ambiant or chilled.......If not you'll have people who dont want to push their cpu showing validations at 3.8ghz. That doesnt really help accumilate informative data.
People who are hitting 4520-4580mhz are so close to that goal its pleasing seeing them hit the number thats just out of reach and very satisfying to them I believe.
as for this quote originally by reverand
We are all cool here, I dont think anyone is jealous of anyones skill here.......except possibly the people looking in on our little competitions....good luck with that lolThat thread was a three man e-peen sword fight asking for 4.6ghz validations. This is much better...
Congrats charged3800z24 on that 4.62 validation![]()

Thanks, I tried 4.7ghz and my PC froze lol.
On the threads, I think both are fine. One gives you something to strive for and the other gives an overal look at things. No one needs to be jealous of anyone (though I have been chasing Titan7171 and Equanox). I am just glad C3 is showing good results across the board.

Cold > volts![]()
This is on all cores at the same clocks, NB and memory speed is clocked up somewhat. The cooling was ice water, mostly water with a few ice cubes floating around on the top, LOL. The validation on this version of cpu-z (1.53) was troublesome, I finally had to uninstall it, reboot then reinstall it. After that it has validated every time.
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=905898
The validation that I linked to below was done on core 0 while the other three cores 1-2-3 were down clocked using the multi set at 16. The NB and memory was down clocked also, same cooling as listed above.

I'll benchmark mine like it is anyway that is needed to show stability. I ain't Skard!(OCCT, Prime95, 3dmark06, 3dmark Vantage, whatever) It may not break world records but considering I won't run my setup at unstable conditions just to have something to brag about in a screenshot, I have no problems with it. I could easily get mine to 4.7ghz just long enough to validate it but I won't do that because that's just plain goofy.
