Love my lachesis to death. Replaced a V1 G5.
i`m happy with my deathadder![]()
I have owned the MX518, G5, G9 and Ikari Laser.
And I have to say, Ikari hands downBut the MX518 was and still is an awesome piece of hardware for its price.

Its bit old thread.
Since then few good mices hit market: Razer Mamba and ROCCAT Kone plus Steelseries Xai quite recently and few other new Razer mices (DeathAdder V2).
I have first edition of DeathAdder with bit modding, excelent gaming mouse, just not too much DPi, bought before V2.. bit regreting this. I´ve used Logitech MX500 before, another great mouse (MX518 is better ofc). Plus I have ROCCAT Kone, which except few flaws is almost perfect mouse. Those flaws are too big and too slim mousesurfers (telfons) and stupid mouse-wheel/middle-mouse button (at least at V1). Well and it has only 3200 DPi.. but thats not big issue.
I had Lachesis and sold, before good versions of firmware camed out.
Now thinking about Imperator, seems quite promising.

i just bought a death adder again after a year of not using it, i went threw quite a few mice, g5, g9, lechesis, sidewinder. and putting my hand on this deathadder again was like resting my head on a perfect pillow, and its just unbelievable to me that this mouse has such perfect location of the thumb buttons and other mice cant quite get it right. maybe its just me.

I'm thinking about replacing my well-worn mx518 with either an imperator or the steelseries xai. I'm just starting to find this mouse way too heavy for my playing style... Need something quicker.

Well, I have a Roccat Kone now, so my vote goes for that one, but the MX518 is also great. Cheap and great. =)

I like my Lachesis on a Steelseries SX pad (aluminum pad). The side buttons are complete garbage though.
As a lefty, my market for mouses is quite limited. Looks like I'll stick with the Lachesis for a good while...
Anyone knows of some good left-hand friendly mouses?
what about the Logitech G9x?
