That REX is so sexy, I need to get one too, Socket 775 was where I had so much fun. Only two months to go until my birthday, too bad I can't get one now, my parents would kill me.
What memory are you using? 2 or 4GB GTR?
Any performance numbers on which kit is better? Does the 4GB kit really score a bit higher than the 2GB kit?
Sounds great! Just make sure to get a validation link next time you enter Global top 20!@Don_Dan: that was just a quick run... was benching outside in 3C weather and ran out of time with the 5970 as I tested 1x and 2x 5870 just before...
Going to work on another run, I know that GPU can do at least 1250mhz memory and the CPU should do 28k on H2O... 29k is what I'm shooting for...
Also after that I'm going to run 03, we'll see if the new driver will help me get over 137k with the 4.64ghz CPU...
Might pick up a W3540 to go with the classi on cascade if I can get a deal, we'll see...
Benching a single 5870 is not a bad idea, you won't get many points right now but revision 3.0 of hwbot will change that I think.
Benching Laptops is fun, it's just that many categories are almost empty and will be rewarded less points after the update to revision 3.0. I'm afraid I will lose some of my points too.

Meh, all i've been getting with my new X58A-UD7 is 'Verifying DMI pool data' , and its stuck on that. seriously no idea why. reinstalling xp as we speak, but it should just boot normally, so im affraid its partially dead, tried almost everything now :S

It runs faster.... ---when it works--- I had a lot of trouble out of that 9.12 hotfix yesterday......
With a single card MSI Afterburner would lock it up and crash the driver every time I try to start it, I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling it about every time I reboot to get it to work....
With a 5970+5870 the 5870 the 5870's fan would not go above 20% though it was set it CCC...
I hope they fix a lot of these issues in the next release...
For any of you on the team who have the ATI 5000 series cards... Get the new 9.12 driver and run 3dmark Vantage again!

it was on h2o, and vcore was i think 1.55 but it was a quick max validation test and believe me it BARELY made it, first time validation was borked
i used my 3520 settings because i didn't had much time yesterday
but i'm starting over and working my way up, right now i'm benching 3DMVA @ 4106 @1.25vc
if it's not a good cold chip at least it looks to be a good 24/7 chip

Didnt really had much time to fiddle with everything yet, so far i had 220 bclock on air, have to work tomorrow, but hopefully in the upcoming days i can put my cpu on the singlestage,

I took care of the first place by the way, you didn't notice he used WPrime v1.63 for his submission, did you?
Edit 1: Just checked more of his WPrime scores, he used v1.63 for almost all of his submissions, but I don't feel like reporting them all now... -.-
