but not necessarily for the rest of the system since it uses virtually no ram for those tests

perhaps, but with that setting 24/7 no problem, and I only test with SMALL FFT

i meant ALL : VANTAGE, CB 10, CRYSIS warhead game, DIRT2, GTA4, ALL GAMES, ALL BENCHMARKING SOFTWARE, ALL

    why i need blend ?

If you think its stable thats fine, personally I just dont see the point in running only small fft when blend runs the same tests along with large ffts and uses ram for the tests.

Thanks to OC_Nub I have one of these Q9550 to start testing, some preliminary results on h2O:
PiFast, wPrime32 and SuperPi1m all I had time for:

GTL ref I changed to x0.640 (from 0.630) for first die (core 0 & 1).

    I upped vTT to 1.24v and I bumped the vCore up 1.34375v & 1.14vNB got 450fsb stable. I did a 1:30 hr of 450 with x8 cpu multi.

I just went back to 450 x 8 and back to 1.3vCore; and I will leave it running before I tweak again.

The thing I am concerned about is 3.6Ghz with 1.3 but 3.8Ghz not stable with 1.34375v, is that normal? The cpu is rated for about 1.38v max:http://processorfinder.intel.com/det...px?sSpec=SLB8V

Hi, I'm running at 3.75Ghz/440FSB with slightly lower volts, 1.2375V bios 1.22V CPUz.
450FSB is almost undoable here, really needs massive amounts of Vcore and I gave up as 3.75 Ghz (440FSB) performs equal to 4.80 unless it's just for the numbers.
I'm on a pencil modded P5K Vanilla (for Vdroop, which is awful without the mod).
It's fully prime blend stable, but fails linX. The P5K has 3 phase power and when it gets to hot it just crashes. On a cold board the first 10 to 20 linX runs are stable. In normal use (as a DAW) this is no issue.

    Ah you backed off 10Mhz.

Photo24 was 1hr5 min prime stable. I had some settings which surpassed that (maybe pic 22) with lower vTT. However I am trying settings in photo25 now. Messing with GTL ref & PLL back to 1.52v.

3.6Ghz was really easy, needed only 1.14vNB, but now I think it is wise to tweak other settings rather than vCore alone. I have tested the FSB with lower multi already needless to say, so I'm going for adjustments which effect cpu stability.

Maybe a bit low? Timings are loose. I did test it with a lower multi previously.

    Result of more testing:

First I lowered GTL ref for first core to x0.620
went from 1hr5 prime stable to 2hr48 prime stable (or unstable if u like)
Upped vcore from 1.34375v to 1.35v
    increased stable time by 6min.

Tried x0.610 and right after I "tested" a register dump in core temp it errored on core 1 at 2min in.
Back to x0.620 and now testing pll 1.52->1.56v.

well my vid is 1.1375 so 1.2v is ok it stopped after 1 hour en 58 minutes :/ error core 2 maybe higher vtt is the key. does annyone have some tips where is should look after with Quad OCing :P?

    I have a DFI LP DK P45 T2RS+.

    Goodluck getting your cpu stable
