ATI is going to have some massive competition come Q1. A 5890 will help but does not appear that it will do any dethroning. Also I believe a 28nm process in mass production in Q1 10 to be a complete and total load of crap. They can't even get 40nm working.

It is extremely hard to take a large, high power and high complexity chip such as the RV870, shrink it a full node, while at the same time increasing power and complexity, apparently switching foundries, and putting it into mass production, all the while getting this done in a matter of months. That simply can't happen.

    EDIT:
Anddddd.... the graph is already proven to be mere speculation:
Probably the most delusional Nvidia fanboy on any forum I've seen

Nvidia practically gave ATi 6 months+ to make a new chip to compete with their GTX380. If you honestly think that ATi will just let Nvidia launch their GT300 series unanswered, you're wrong. It doesn't matter if the GT300 is slower or faster than the 5870. You can bet ATi is gonna rain on their parade on launch day.

As for these specs.. they're all speculation and probably wrong. We can assume that it will be like the 4890 - It will either be a binned 5870 clocked @ 950 or 1000 core.

Unlikely. From what I understand, some 5870s can already do 900+ on stock cooling. It's much more likely to see Sapphire, XFX, HIS and the like finally get some chips and the ability to spin their own PCBs, coolers, and clocks out of them. More of a "Super RV770" than a RV790. Remember, the RV790 was in fact a slightly different chip than the RV770.

The specs posted here are far from speculation. FUD and Semi-Accurate speculate. This is some with too much spare time editing the wikipedia article. If you honestly think that there's a spec of truth in that chart, then you're the delusional one.
