For benching on a REX a 6GB set would be overkill, though you need to keep in mind it's futureproof in case you want to switch to i7 some day.
DDR3 D9s can only be found on ebay these days, the only firm producing new stock is CSX as far as I know, and you can't get them in the US.

    You have PM!

To get over this bclk wall I guess I'll need the Classi board.....
It'll be coming in either late this week or early next...
I have a little GPU for hardware boints, maybe I can bench it tomorrow and get over 350...
You put out some nice results yesterday! Congrats on breaking 300 points too!

What RAM are you running? Did you decide on a new kit or will you just use the old one?

Most likely cold bug will be between -20 and -40C from what I heard, remember the memory controller is the culprit for most coldbugging i7s these days. Good thing is you will be able to run better timings and speed but it won't use lots of ln2.

Took me 10L of LN2 to get used to the coldbug of the mobo and the processor and the countless times to get used to the poring without making the cpu freeze... Whatsup with that! I already ordered a 48L dewar and now will have 60L ln2 for benching soon

I have an immediate goal to beat: regain my 1st place o SuperPi 1m Q9650 category that was shattered on the 1st stage of the HWBOT Country Cup 2009

I'm almost there got my best run: 9.125s and the WR is 9.094s. I did not try use 2:40 as a divider all my runs where at 1:1 and the WR was with a 2:40 divider. If anybody has any tips on what to improve to get this Spi_1m?
Great results for your first ln2 session! You have the raw MHz to make it happen!

Did you try the PI tweaker program?

hows your bios running? also how many flasks do you have already? 3 seems not enough for multi pots...
I have 2 flasks of 40oz each. What do you mean by bios running (vnb volts)?
I can also watercool the NB with 5oC water.

Thanks man! I did a 9.110s run today and got 2nd place but I'm missing by 0.016ms!!!!!!! My cpu won't accept any more volts 1.588vcore is max so far for a stable win boot. So it doesn't scale that well with the cold.

So I have to get those 0.016ms with tweaks. Am I missing something or the OCX Spi Tweaker is only helpfull with 32m? I never tried using it for Spi 1m.

Any other tips on how to get those 0.016ms?

I'm running striped WinXP SP3 with IDE drive.

    D'oh, that was close...

Can't you get any more speed on the RAM?
    4-4-4-12 on 1:1 divider?
    5-5-5-15 on 5:6 divider?
5-4-4-15 35 at your current settings?
I'm sure the Quad is killing the NB but the last suggestion should be possible?!

For 1M you need to run CDT IV, did you do that?

You'll have PM in a minute!
