Gabe,

Received my block today and same deal with the inlet thread with a BP True Silver.

I wouldn't say the thread on the BP's are out of spec I did look at the bloc and the thread inlet and thread outlet are not machined by the same tap at least on my sample. The inlet on mine looks almost double taped, the thread pitch is the same but where the main thread should form and apex or be flat its got a fine thread instead.

On the BP fittings when you place them to start the thread there is a very fine start to then the normal pitch. There is far less play with the BP threaded in either hole 2-3 turns in than the barb fittings and the Barb fittings have a much finer pitch of thread, they slap all the way down to the O-ring. I have one BP that wont feed into the inlet, but all of the rest will. When they are in they fit nice and snug no cross-threading threat unless you are careless.

I have some pictures but they aren't really clear, but there is definitely a difference in the machining of each hole. I fully expect mine to work as intended and I will use the BP fitting as its a nicer fit. Not a huge deal for mine but people should know there is less tolerance in the BP threads than the barbs at least on my example, I prefer the BP thread the way they currently are.

Hope this offers some help
