    0925CPMW+Asrock = X4 B50

    0925CPMW + Asrock M3A785GMH/128M(SB710) BIOS 1.20 - SUCCESS
    Vcore 1.385V
    NB Voltage 1.150V
    ACC All cores + 4%
At first the processor had no desire to unlock. I had to overclock it as a dual core first. After a couple of hours grinding Prime 95 at 3.8 GHz dual core I gave it a second try. Had to bump All cores to +4%. Using Vcore 1.365V resulted in an immediate error in the 4th core when I started Prime95 Small FFT. A small boost to 1.375V fixed it. Still not 100% stable - AOE III Asian Dynasties kept kicking me out after 15-20minutes. Changed settings to ACC per core: Core0 +2%, Core1 +2%, Core2 +4% and Core3 +6% - rock solid.
Now I've got to see what it is capable of in 4core mode.

    @darkblade74,

Try putting ACC in auto, then up your Vcore to 1.4v and CPU/NB at 1.35v. leave bus speed at 200 and HT link at 2000(x10).

Today i saw a new BIOS for my A780GMH/128M, v1.40 which has the remark "Modify code for ACC function". I haven't had time to try it yet, but if there is a relevant updated BIOS for your board, maybe you should give it a shot.

Here's one thing I'm wondering about.
I am getting another 550 that I know for sure unlocks on a MA790XT...... will I have any issues on a Crosshair III?

Was also able to experiment with individual core multipliers with AMD Overdrive and found I could get core 0 and 1 to 3.4Ghz stable while keeping core 2 and 3 at 3.3Ghz.

NB won't go any higher than stock even at 1.25V. Any suggestions?

    No more X4 B50

Well, I guess I have to change my post from SUCCESS to FAIL. My X2 550 BE simply does not want to rise and shine as a quad core anymore . As soon as I save my settings and exit BIOS, I get no POST and I have to clear the CMOS no matter what ACC settings (besides DISABLED) I use - Auto, All Cores, Per core, neither changing Vcore nor NB voltage. At least some confort I get from the fact that it's not a bad OCing chip. Flashing with 1.30 BIOS didn't help as well.

Also I get into some kind of FSB wall after 225MHz. 230MHz FSB result in no POST. Memory has plenty of room to go up, NB is within specs, so my guess is it's either the CPU or the MB.

    Hi All
Need help. Had to change Mobo back to MSI 770T-C45, Gigabyte 770 board froze after updating Bios to allow "Hybrid" setting and on restart would not unlock all cores. My problem now is that having unlocked all cores on the MSI
I ran Wprime and after 5 passes core 2 (3rd) failed. How can I disable this core
on this Mobo? The settings on the ACC go from 0 to +12 and -12. If I set to per core how do I disable. In anticipation.

I don't remember what board/bios was used but on another forum user claimed... *you must* first clear the cmos, then set it to "per core" and set the core you want disabled to 0, save bios/reboot as usual.

Another way is set numcores switch in boot.ini or using msconfig in Windows, but you can't tell it which cores to use, only limit the number of cores.

1st post in AMD section since venice 3200+ WR days

    X2 550 BE
CACYC 0928CPMW + Asus evo 785G - FAIL and 3 core FAIL as well. Tried many settings with the latest bios and it restarts/blue screen every time right after starting OS

Despite that I still love everything about AMD much better than Intel

Mine CACYC AC 0944BPMW - unlocks but core 3 unstable. Turned off core-3, now running as X3 at 3.6

    Board: Gigabyte 790X-UD4P
    Bios: F9
    VCore: 1.475
    VNB: 1.225
    NB: 2400
    HT Link: 2400
    Memory: 800

Not bad - I am happy for the $70 I paid for it at Fry's after $10 rebate on the board

ok so heres goes for me.
so far my x2 is a fail but i know of someone with the same stepping which was successful,

i have a dfi DK 790FXB-M2RSH and i have tried almost everyone revised bios i can. (beta and official) iv read and been told that these boards are a to deal with sometimes and im not surprised since iv had to rma it.

anyway acc on this is very simple.
you just turn it on and select auto, manual all or set per core. (wording isnt correct but u get it)
no mater what i select, after it wont post until i clear cmos.
someone please let me know if they have had major issues and what they did. hoping someone has had issues with this mobo
is there a program that can reawaken the cores in windows or anything like that.

hopefully someone can get me in the riht direction so i can awake my sleeping quad

    thanks

i am getting a Phenom II 550 and i was wondering if there was a AM3 motherboard that i could get that would give me the highest chance of success of unlocking all the cores (stable)

I have also unlocked my Phenom II 550BE, but only to Triple-core.
My third core is unstable whatever I do.

The Motherboard is a Asrock A770DE+ with the bios version 1.4.
In that version AsRock added the CPU Active Core Control option which I used to disable the defective core.

    The Procesor is a 0925APMW.

I use the Box cooler for cooling, and I am going to buy a Scythe Katana 3 or AC Freezer 64 pro and than overclock the CPU a bit
(say like 3,6 GHz FSB 240)...

Here are the proofs of my sucess:

My thanks to Valg, who gave me the idea for such an unlocking.

so i cant seems to post no matter what i do with my dual core,
can someone answer this for me.. how would i just turn on 1 more core instead of 2, is it just 0% in aac?
and how would i distinguish which cores exactly are my good ones so i can figure out which 2 exactly are my bad ones.

hoping thats not confusing but u know, right now in a 2 core state it just comes up as core 0 and core 1
now is it actually core 0 and core 1 or did it just call it that?

    anyone get what i mean?

Got one at Fry's a few weeks ago, mobo/cpu combo deal for $70 after $10 MIR.

    CACYC AC 0926MPMW

Don't have a board to test yet, still deciding on DDR2 or DDR3 since I have a few DDR2 kits not in use right now. Will probably go AM2+ to keep cost down. Hopefully by next month I'll have it up and running.

I ordered two C3 stepping 550's as soon as I could pre-order them and they shipped yesterday. Supposed to come Monday.

I'm really interested to see how they do.
