    5970 testing

easy start with safe voltage levels:

coming up next from the SF3D OC dungeon:

    - LN2 tests with C3 965BE
    - 5970 with more exotic cooling
    - 4GPUs?
    - decent 3DM03 and Vantage Xtreme scores?

CPU pot is installed, time to fire things up now!

so far nicely in single card top 10 of:

    3dm05
    3dm06
    3dm03

with aircooled GFX and about 6.2...6.35G CPU

SF3D will take it from here with multi-card and higher scores. Good luck! I'll need to drive back home now.

    first touch...

    Hi all!

Macci came by and brought some souvenirs. Nice!

This was the first touch with cards and heat seems to be a problem on aircooling. It was already fixed with one card, which was steaming up to -80c.

Here are the scores and setup details.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE retail (random)
    ASUS Crosshair III Formula
    A-Data D9GTR
    ATI Radeon 5970 (2x)
    Thermaltake TP 1200W x 2
    Dimastech bench table
    SF3D OC line LN2 pot
Win Vista 32-bit (the fast one)

Our randomly picked 965 BE seems to be quite average

    03 Single and dual:

    05 single and dual:

    06 single (CPU only at 6188 )

Those were the first scores. More will follow very soon from Macci

    Thank you Sami!

..and I will continue singing "Hemlock Hemlock whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you...

see you when the time is ready
You are as good as your samples are!

Yes, there is some issues with cards under LN2. Card is confused about 2D / 3D voltages and it is doing thermal throttling at the same time. So, it need to be fixed with new bios again.

Now, I need some people to tell me, that they can clock their cards without any issues

With MSI afterburner I overclocked my 5970 @ 1000MHz core and mem 1200MHz with no issue. On air.
But I want to go over CCC limits.

BTW nice scores Macci & SF3D
