Killed a X58 motherboard today, was sliding it over on the table to hook up a kvm switch. It cut off and I could not get it to start back up. I unhooked everything and picked it up off the table, there was a razor blade laying under it, shorted it out I guess...Or I hope that is all that got killed...

This rig was downstairs on a table, actually there are 3 on the tables now, 14 are upstairs in the room. I had used it to spread the TIM across one of those direct touch pipe coolers and it was laying there I guess.DUDE, what are you doing with a razor blade in your "server room" ...
That belong to tha bathroom ... unless you have your machines stores in the bathroomI was hooking the new KVM up, I hooked it to the classified on the left, then the monitor in the middle then it would not reach the other rig, so I grabbed it and slid everything over radiator/pump/PSU/MB all at once. I did not have a MB box under this one it was just on the table. I guess I was in a big hurry and did not see the razor blade laying there amongst other stuff, I thought I had gotten everything out the way.
Lesson learned ! Always be a hack the right way, with a motherboard box underneath the naked cruncher !
