Same settings as I used to use for my Wprime, SuperPi, and Pifast runs at 5.6ghz. Didn't change ANY settings other than the MCH core and the CPU core.
Anything I should change that would help the temps, stress the CPU less, or make it more stable?
Its running stable enough right now at 5.5... since I'm board limited and can't go over 5.61ghz with the board, it might not matter to change anything else...
You sure you are board limited? The only thing I can think of is MCH ref voltage, it helped me on my board, though I was on air and couldn't test that far.
Besides that I can't think of anything else.
    Have fun!

I figured it was the board... give me a great excuse to sell it and get a Rampage X48 board and some DDR3 anyway!
Thanks for the help, I will try it and see if it does anything.

Been trying to get the CPU to be stable at 5.4ghz+ once again but it didn't happen...
Wonder if the board is just cold after installing windows and setting up things at stock speeds with the cascade running on it or if I tightened the bracket too much and the board is bent a little without its backplate...
Maybe I'll let it dry and warm up and try again tomorrow.
Been test all kinds of settings in the last two hours to get it 5.5 stable again.....
Maybe the Vaseline in the socket is doing something?
The last thing I did with the board was P4 testing yesterday when it got all confused about the voltages and all...

Higher mem frequency will boost your 32M for sure, did you tweak RTLs already?
1200MB is too big imo, try something smaller, like ~680MB.

The board may just have taken enough torture and just is not up to the clock speed any more. It's possible you killed your NB with high NB voltage too!

Maybe so.... Time to get a R1E board and some DDR2 or a Classified E760 board?
Problem is I don't want to invest in an i7 chip now as i9 is right around the corner...
Guess I could get a Classi board, some dominator ram and a cheap 920 for now and upgrade next month...
I would still like to try out an E8600 at 6ghz though... what do you think?

I would go for the Rampage Extreme, I already thought about it to be honest, the boards are cheap and they're the best mainboards you can get for S775.

Point wise a Classified would be better though for sure, and it will run i9 when it's out.

Depends on what you can afford, buying an i7 now and an i9 later on won't be cheap for sure. Personally I would go for the REX and buy a good 3x2GB memory kit ( read: Hyper chips ). That way you can have lots of fun now and you're futureproof with your RAM.
