If your Abit ST6 is really that superior over a TUSL2-C, than why is it so underpopulated at HWBOT? To me it sounds like that you are preferring the Abit because you have bought the Abit and not the ASUS. They also posses the same chipset, so I think they are very much alike.

I just bougth some TUSL2-C boards because most records are made with this model, and +200 FSB doesn't seems to be a problem in most cases. My third TUSL2-C on the picture also doesn't seem to mind 210 FSB (just as the previous two before they died). It's not tested on a 1:1 divider, but I still haven't got memory that is able to reach those speeds. I'm dying to get more detailed information about s370 overclocking, so please tell me!

I'm using every proc that I can get my hands on, and in most cases the TUSL2-C is giving me worldrecords. So you better come up with some reasonable arguments (or memory ) before I start searching Ebay for Abit ST6 boards..

Testing a P4 524 chip on my EP45-UD3P and the motherboard SEVERELY limits me as expected...
I got it up to 4.8ghz for the Wprime 32M and 4.7 for pifast and superpi. The ram runs really slow and it will not boot when I set it to a different divider...
The highest CPU vcore available is 1.40v so its running pretty well considering...
The others on HWBot have different motherboards and are running 1.8v.... I need to get some other motherboard for this chip and my e8600 to get the most out of them!
Suggestions? Might I need two motherboards, like the Rampage Extreme X48 for the e8600 and the Asus Commando P965 for the P4 chip?
Still going to try hard and get some decent submissions with the P4 and will post them later today.....
    Have 6th place P4 at 4.8ghz in Wprime 32M with 1.4v
Also got an 8400GS to test with the e8600 later, hopefully I can get some good marks with that.........

Can't wait to test the Core i7 setup and the 5970 coming in!

Looks like we need a decent push to overtake Jmax hardware.

I might have to resort to drastic measures after the holidays.

One of these days I will get a good nights sleep but that will have to wait.

    Dude.. that was a JOKE!
I used that board for a friends build.. like 9 years ago
I only brought it up because I'll get it back soon

Back then, I was a very active member of tualatin.de - a small german forum dedicated to S370 CPUs and overclocking. Nowhere on the web is there a more comprehensive and detailed database on all there is to know about mods etc regarding S370. I left a while ago, and can't really remember too many details - I do remember we were all using ram made by a company named MCI. It was rated PC150 CL2 and could do over 200 on suicide runs.

Hey, tell you what - when I get that ST6 board back, and can't use the combo for anything (it has a 1,13Ghz P3-S on it IIRC), you can have it

Hehehe, I had a hard time believing you but eventually I did

You can make it up by providing some of that CL2 PC150 memory (I don't care about the ST6 anymore ). Damn-it, I read some really good things about that memory from MCI, but it's nowhere to be found these days..

Sorry, don't have any.. all I got left is some Infineons that top out at 155 CL2
This stuff was freaking expensive, and not every ram could do >200. BUT these were definitely the best SDrams ever made

Question New (for me) PCMark05 tweak

    Guys,

Can we PM each other on this one. It's new to me.

Look at his Web Page Rendering scores! Crazy:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=240156

I guess he changes the default browser for another one (opera?chrome?firefox?)

    More info?

Saw that this morning... we definitely could all use that tweak...
I'll look into it when I can and play with different browsers.
I should be able to push another 100 boints soon then we will not have far to go to get #11!

LN2 partehh is pretty much over, nothing but troubles really. couldnt do pi_fast either, my gpu drivers were bugging, didnt had some microsoft crap 2.0 tool installed, so it wouldnt run, so same crappy score for pi_fast. i did manage tot get a 'okish' 32M run out, atleast with triple channel, bit higher uncore ( which also prevented me from running 5.4ghz, so that was a limit )
and 'mild' tweaking on the ram, was to affraid i'd mess it up, with only a few more liters left :P

anyway, here is what i came up with:

Sounds like you didn't have netframework 2.0 installed which is a requirement with ATI.

It happens to everyone, the best you can do is shrug it off, prepare better for next time and put it behind you.

Drivers might not be the greatest in hybrid but multi card results are better than No multicard results. Just try to match the clocks on all cards as they will get downclocked to the lower denominator anyway.

5970+5870 should work in Xfire, yepp.
What PL are you running when pushing your E8600? And how did you overcome the 500MHz FSB limit you encountered last time? MCH ref voltage or something else?

Okay, lsc enabled too, nice. Are you doing normal waza or CDT?

Did you try different sizes for your waza files already?

Yeah, memory tweaking might gain you some time too, maybe you can even hit 1050MHz at the same timings. What VDIMM are you running?
