    just noticed that your intel burn test thread is on 8 shouldnt it be on 16 threads ?

    Core i7 only have 8threads not 16

    Dan777 brought that up before to me and I believe if I recall correctly it fully stresses it when on 16. Try it, you will most likely see a higher increase in temps. Why? Beats me, but give it a shot.

    hi everyone i wanted to ask if anyone else is having the same problem is i am
    i have my i7920@3.7ghz and i have used prime for 12hours (small fft's) and no probs even gaming for hours but now and again when i go to boot up the pc it resets the bios and tells me there is an overclock problem

    if i go into the bios and then save and exit it then boots no problem again
    what the hell is wrong i really dont understand it
    is there something im doing wrong

    my specks are

    i was also 4.0ghz stable with thease settings i just changed the base clock
    gigabite EX58 UD5 mobo
    core i7 920 @3.7 1.35volts bios
    qpi/vtt 1.295volts
    ioh core 1.260volts
    ocz reaper hpc 15000 6gb kit (1866)mhz 9.9.9.28 1.64volts
    asus gtx280 (no overclocking)
    enermax dxx 1000watt psu

    any help plese

    Just got done setting the final 24/7 clocks for my new Core i7 Rig. Went caseless on this one Sadly, I hit a pretty hard wall at 214 BCLK and clouldn't even think of getting stable until 211. I was testing at 215-218 BCLK, but needed suicide voltage to do it

    I'm driving the pump and radiator fans with a old AT power supply, so as not to draw off my main system PSU.

    I added a homemade shroud to the radiator after this pic:

    Final Clocks & voltages for 24/7: With my DMM, vDIMM measures 1.66 with these settings, and vCORE 1.48. Most volts are set to stock. Messing with the PLL voltages only seemed to cause more instablitiy for me.
