We have local competition called "AMD: Russian Dragon C3 Version" between Russian bench teams. I take part of it as Team MXS member and few days ago I received package with CPU, mobo and video card from AMD/MSI. I didn't have any experience with AMD CPUs after Socket939 and before this competition so I started to overclock AM3 C3 CPU with LN2. My friend Dimdirol give his Topmods.net LN2 Pot for this bench and helps me a lot with preparing system and pouring LN2.
Hardware used for this bench:
• AMD Phenom II 965 BE C3 CPU
• MSI 790FX-GD70 mobo
• MSI R4890 Cyclone video
• G.Skill Perfect Storm F3-16000CL7T-6GBPS memory (only one stick used, stock heatspreader changed to OCZ Flex waterblock)
• Western Digital WD1500HLFS hard drive
• Enermax Revolution 85+ 1250W PSU
We have spent three days trying to reach 7GHz CPU-Z validation and checked two our 965 C3 CPUs. Dimdirol's CPU hit only 6710 MHz but we don't tested it too much.
My one was a lot better. With two hours and few liters of LN2 we got 6890MHz@1.75V and 6939MHz@1.80V!
In the second bench day we not improved result at all. And yesterday we have changed our tactic a bit - removed second stick of memory, raised Vcore to 1.83, set Vcpu_nb to default and set higher memory timings (8-8-8-24). We load Windows at 5250 MHz, then set CPU multi to 27.5 (6875 MHz) and then use button (ring) on 790FX-GD70 to increase FSB by 1 MHz.
Finally we got validation with 7040MHz!

It's highest frequency on all AMD CPU's for now, at least on hwbot.org and ripping.org.

I'm not sure about 7127 MHz result by LimitTeam
but I read here and here that this is possibly fake, what do you think?

Big thanks to AMD, MSI and Enermax for support!
PS. for those who don't know - guy whoand
at the end of video is Dimdirol
edit - 2d results:
Seems Topmods CPU Pot very good and handy only for cpu-z validations and short single-threaded benchmarks such as SuperPi 1M. Unfortunately It can't hold heat from loading by long multi-threaded benchmarks. I can pass SuperPi 1M at 6750MHz, but I can't pass wPrime1024M at 5600MHz with it, only at 5500MHz!So, if I find another pot, I will be able to improve my 2D scores with this CPU in the future.
PiFast = 17.02s
SuperPi 32M = 11m 22.546s (no CDT tweak and default subtimings)
wPrime32M = 6.140s
wPrime1024M = 211.938s
CPU-Z show real Vcore. Vcpu-nb was 1.60-1.62 depends on benchmark.
SuperPi 1M and 3D results - later.
