btw to my chip, finally its no so tragedy as first look. My chip like lower voltages think, in progres 3950MHz with 1.44V stable. We will see later. My point is 4 GHz-hope tomorow.

For some reason my chip doesn't seem to respond really well to cold.
I haven't gotten it extreme but I shivered though amibients of 16c and water temps down to 19c and it only gave me an extra 50Mhz.
Core temps didn't really seem to be a problem (45c under extended load).
The chip just doesn't seem to like voltages over 1.475....
I does pretty well though at ambients, and on water I got an extra 25mhz on the core and almost 300 on the IMC.
I'm pretty happy with the results but I can't seem to get 30 minutes Prime at 4.1, and taking the voltage over 1.5 causes more problems than it fixes. Guess it's not cold enough....
Here's what I'm using 24/7 stable with ambient water.
Not too shabby!

Mine doesn't like voltage as much as it likes lots of cold. You will need to drop another 10*C to see the next jump I guessing. Still no bad results considering.![]()

I'm sure your right Jay... When I get my own place I'll try using winter to my advantage. Right now it's kind of hard living in an apartment...
64NOMIS, if your watching this thread I have a few questions...
I know your a big dog at AMD and you do alot of testing yourself, so I'd like to get your opinion on a couple theories I have.
Sometimes they seem to conflict with what the gurus on here say, but they seem to work for me...
1) OCZ Tony says that the HTLink speed should be kept ~2000 reguardless of the IMC clock.
My experience is that keeping the IMC and HTLink close (or Linked) offers better performance.
2) I have a theory about ACC and using Wprime/P95 to tweak ACC values...
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=232364
I'm still not sure about the usefullness of this, but I still tend to tweak using this option.
LOTS of respected folks have said this is useless... I still do it anyway!
Does ACC really offer any benefit when using C3, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
ACC has been a mystery since it's inception.... Any light you could shine on this would be appreciated!

Just got mine today and so far, it's looking promising....
On Win7 x86, stock voltages, under phase @ -15°C idle.
Anyone know the actual CPU-NB stock voltage? 1.375v seems way too high to me.
All my runs are done on Win7 64. I know they're not the most impressive, but I'm a stickler for stability, and all my shots are at least close to stable...
That being said, either my chip is getting burned in, or the TIM is starting to set a little better...
Here's a new result! Finally got >4.1Ghz with decent NB in CB:

Hello peeps, old timer here
Just got my C3, its a 0944APMW
First question, havnt found answer on the internets.
What is the default CPU VDDC (otherwise known as CPU-NB-VID) as per AMD Overdrive for these CPU's?
The default on this chip is showing as 1.550v which is the maximum.
Is this correct?
On first look dont seem to be a good CPU, on default volts its not prime95 stable at 3.9Ghz. I get bluescreen reboots when priming with blend option, it reboot on test6 FFT length 1024mb without any of the cores failing.
Rig is the same as in sig except the CPU
Looking at other peeps results must say I am quite dissapointed, I know I have not dialed anything in, but was expecting to at least be prime stable at around 4Ghz with my cooling setup on default volts, settings etc
- EDIT -
Also blue screen reboots priming with small FFT's
