Looking great bud. I love the shots and the red is very unique. Considering it is Anno and not powdercoat. Gives the case a "Different" feel and look.
Glad you found some 1850 GT's. They seem to be rare lately :P. Looking forward to this definitely.

Thanks Greg, actually I found that link through Google but was not about to dive in without any personal recommendations.
Nevermind that, more importantly how did you put that under your name?? That's cool!
Fastner Express (1st result in Google) is where I order from. I'm certain they're available locally (Singapore for me, I'm sure same for Indonesia), but I have not put in the effort to look.
Thanks Armitage![]()

More Parts
Received a few packages in the past week. Here's one of them.
"Missent to Thailand." That does not inspire confidence.
Fittings!
Also got this AquaComputer inline temp sensor.
Don't need a crystal ball to see I have sleeving and crimping in my future.
Took some time to gut out the case. I figured out what those red plates are for, they give lateral support to the drive bays. Since the quick release bays are friction fit, it's important to keep the sides stiff.
Also set aside the bay covers.
The 360GTX will fit here like a glove.
Not a lot of room up here for a fill port. Thinking...thinking...
The 140mm mounts are nicely designed and stamped.
This is the back of the front bezel. It's a combination of a few parts (red anodized trim, black anodized frame, etc.) held together with screws. This area will be important for mounting my own front panel.

Nice work there Kibbler, the more I look at this case the more I like it, the way it has been put together it really look high quality.
I will be looking at this too, AquaComputer inline temp sensor, interesting.
LOL, how the hell in gods name do they missend to thailand..

Great parts and nice photo there Kibbler.
I'll follow this project for sure.
your pics are just... wicked! jealous of your camera
you are one of two members here (having logs I follow) who make beautifull shots even during routine works
case looks a bit pinky (color distortions?) but anyway brilliant

got photography skills?
man, you're A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
Thanks tiger. I too am liking this case. There are only a few areas I find unnecessary or...what's the right word...limiting? No that's too strong. Je ne sais quoi. Requires more planning to fit everything exactly right, that's it. But there is no single element that I can call a truly boneheaded design mistake. And that's a rarity in computer cases I'm afraid.
You got me pal. Somebody at the sorting facility was having their own personal early Thanksgiving if you ask me.
btw for all you Americans I hope you had an enjoyable and belt-loosening-ly filling TGiving weekend.
Thanks nej
Thanks GK, although I am not posting much I am also following your worklog closely (and maybe borrowing some good ideas if you don't mind!).
You're right about the case color. I'm using cool 6500k lights for these photos which could be adding a bluish tinge to the red. I would say in person it is definitely red...but a particular shade that is dangerously close to magenta in the right (wrong) light.
Thanks for your kind words theTox, Karam, and Brad.I must mention that these photos spend a good bit of time in Lightroom for exposure and color adjustments. I'm not yet at the point where I can set the exposure just right and get decent shots straight out of the camera. Like all things, there is certainly room for improvement.

Wow, amazing looking case! I will be keeping an eye on this build. I really liked your last build.

Some good old-fashioned math for results of dubious significance (s.g.o.f.m.f.r.o.d.s.)
now with bonus innuendos
Well first of all I took this a while back but never posted it. Here it is for completion's sake, nothing you haven't seen before.
Ok today we'll be looking at bore diameter (girth? no that's not right, that's for something else...). Starting with this.
This (a regular BP Q+ rotary, all BPs fittings have about the same bore anyway).
And this, a Koolance probe that's looking a bit worse for wear. There's still a thin whitish coating (um...) of residue/flux (whew) from when it was in the Pinnacle.
Group photo! (and group hug via sensor wire!)
On the right, the wall of the male end (ahh that's what 'girth' is usually for...) of the AC sensor is thicker (oh dear) than that on the BP. But by exactly how much?
Well, it's 8mm on the sensor.
Versus 10mm on the BP.
And 2mm "girth" on the Koolance sensor. I didn't take a photo but that little guy measures only 8.5mm long (yeah that's little alright...).
Let's do math.
AC sensor: π x 16mm² = 50.25mm² cross-section
BP fitting: π x 25mm² = 78.5mm² cross-section
Koolance sensor: 2mm x 8.5mm = 17mm² cross-section
From these numbers we can guesstimate that the AC sensor is 36% more "restrictive" (whatever that means on such a small scale) compared to the BP fitting, while the Koolance sensor is only 21.7% more restrictive.
Does that mean anything in terms of performance? Probably not. But it's fun to apply grade school math every once in a while.

Nice update. Looking forward to seeing how you mount your temp sensors (you know what I mean !!!)

"Being a guy I'm more looking forward to mounting the res...which is a vessel...therefore feminine...so yum..."
Or that's what I would have replied. Witty, subtly naughty, pseudo-scholarly. But I'm not scholarly, I'm not knowledgeable. I'm a poser and a hack. I spent an hour on Wikipedia trying to substantiate vessels and chalices as being symbolically feminine. And I couldn't find anything solid. I was frustrated. Frustrated at Dan Brown for putting these uncitable notions in my head.
Can't wait for my screws to get here so I can start mounting things...whoops there I go again...
washer? I barely know her!
Sure there are, things large and small. The way you're handling the color scheme (though were it me I might go back to re-sleeve the blue accents with orange to match the black/gold), painting, even your arrangement for flushing rads saves me time I would have spent working out how to do the same in my cramped bathroom.
Hay kibbler is that Koolance sensor one of the sensors that came with the TMS-200?
Also is there any chance you could just drill out the AC sensor a tad to be the same as the BP fitting?
As there both G1/4 and have the same OD, there should be enough wall thickness left once drilled out.
Just a thought.

Looks pretty sweet, I'm thinking of a build along the same lines here.
Where are you going to put the big rad, is it up front? Doesn't that kinda block all of the drive bays?
I've seen a similar build with the rad on top, but it didn't fit the stock case so the guy had to modify it to make it taller - really not where I want to go![]()
Looking forward to this... Subscribed.
Really fancied that case when it came out... but couldn't justify the price... Price has dropped recently so it'll be interesting to see what you do with it m8.
Still 1 of my fav cases out there that I want to get my hands on![]()
Mezmerizing photos, Kibbs!
Always a pleasure to view every post you make.
