That is a bit surprising on the latency --- but at least it is in a good way! Maybe the L3 on the Phenoms is a bit of the bottleneck, there?

So the NB/IMC scaling 'performance improvements' essentially hold for the Athlon IIs when bumping up clocks --- that is good to know.

I imagine you would see the same scaling (3-4% improvement for each 10% increase in clock speed) with your 720BE --- even with the DDR2.

Same with the DDR3 - which looks to add a nice little overall bump of its own over DDR2.
