If they've always been that in the US, then I wouldn't be needing to wait for gigabyte to release these new boards. Besides, as mentioned previously, word is that we should expect to pay a premium for these boards compared to usual X58 boards.

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I've been following this thread for a while and wanted to let you know that if you're waiting for the EX58A series, you're going to have to wait a few more months, unfortunately. This is what Gigabyte support told me:
Date: 10/29/2009
Answer - 820376
Answer : Dear Customer,
The release date is in January 2010.
Thank you for choosing Gigabyte products

Question : Can you tell me if the new EX58A series has been cancelled or will still see a release? If it will still be released, can you tell me roughly when it may see a release date? I am very interested in buying some of your high-end, 24 phase models (EX58A-UD5 or EX58A-EXTREME) and am hoping these models aren't pushed back until next year for Gulftown's (i9) release.
what about ud4, ud4p, new ud5 <- with 24 phases?
Manual GA-X58A-UD7
Also BIOS F2 is out.

I can't wait either .... This MB is going to look sexy in my new build. Now I wish they will release a 5970 with a blue pcb but it probably wont happen .... it would look sexy in my case.

Fortunately, I didnt buy anything yet! Thank goodness I trusted LSDMEASAP! My Wallet just got a crapload lighter!
So do these overclock better then the EVGA Classified?
Hey Fatguy.....
I see your Gigabyte hating thread, are you hear further that? If so, why???? I seen you do some amazing things with your Gigabyte boards and was sorry to see you get so upset about things.
I may have been able to try to help you resolve things with Gigabyte, but not sure now with the thread you made as someone may have seen it there and could be very upset.
EVGA Classified has it's place for those who like and or can afford that, but it is for sure not the best board out there, or the end all be all of motherboards. I see many complaints with it as well, this follows any board, that is why there is always complaint/support specific threads for any model of board.
How these overclock we are not sure yet until we see some results. They do however have USB 3 and SATA 3 onboard and do not need a hard mod to pass the 222 Bclk wall of previous models.
Not trying to jump on you or anything, I just hated to see you end up hating Gigabyte like you did in your thread and was sorry to hear you did not contact me before you got so upset so I could see if there was anyway I could help get things squared away for you.

I have/had no intension of bashing Gigabyte in this thread, it was a real question because I am interested to see how well their new boards overclock. I have done heaps of research and question asking in regards to my gigabyte problems, nothing of which fixed the said issues. I not only mad the thread to bash Gigabyte, but I was interested to see if anyone else has ever experienced similar problems. I also know the Classified isn't a perfect mobo, however it has never given the problems my gigabyte ones have, however time will tell. I'll say sorry to Gigabyte IF several of my mobo's (other brands) all start doing similar things. Thats good to hear they won't need the hard mod to pass 222bclk. But really I have 3 mobo's sitting around doing nothing at the moment, I can't RMA them, can't sell them and they are reliable enough for a PC, (plus that dam 9400GT that can't do anything).
Ahh ok, well I just wondered after I read your other thread so I thought I would ask.
You pushed your GA Boards very hard, what did you expect? I mean I didn't think you used them in normal ways right? Only for extreme overclocking, and maybe then afterwards for normal use? Maybe they were harmed in that aspect of things?
Why can't you RMA them?

I have 3 Gigabyte mobos, all P45's. The DS3P was never overclocked at all, it was used in my mum's work station PC. It was by far the worst of them all. The UD3P started to play up before I even got my SS phase change. The UD3R I have to say has been pushed very hard, but still the other two haven't and they still behave like the UD3R. By far none of my boards have been pushed like the Classified, benching 5GHz i7 HT with 1.5vcore+ for hours straight for many days. It has held strong, its been under SS, Cascade and LN2. I can't RMA because technicality it does still work (post).
Well just because it posts does not mean it works, I would RMA and tell them in full what you are experiencing and explain that is not what you paid for. They should RMA for you, tell them it will post but does not fully function properly
Are you using Memory or do you have memory from the QVL to be sure it fails with that as well, since that is what they would test with?
