They are going for 700cnd here which is pretty nuts. I paid 600 for my 4870x2 at launch. But based on current market placement and 5850 price / performance, it makes sense.

on a serious note, the HD 5970 looks better, easier to manage (no xfire cables etc etc), but its loooooooooong

That i can't confirm, but i think it should, considering the HAF is a full tower.
If it doesnt, make some mods You have 3 choices. Either cut the case, or cut a part of the video card. or cut both. Its up to you

As expected, this card is Out of Stock everywhere, but I would keep my 4870X2 for awhile b4 dropping $600 cash, I'll get it for $500 or less with rebate or cashback. Another problem would be will it fit in my old Thermaltake Armor full tower?
