    7850 BE and X4 620 Questions

Hi I have been away from AMD for a little while but just have a few questions to ask.

Is the 7850 unlockable? And how likely is it that I'd be able to get any of the cores to unlock?

How overclockable is the x4 620? Would it be possible to get 3GHz out of it?

The KUMA cores were said to be unlockable but my 7750 wouldn't.
The 620 should be easy to get to 3gig..(just from what i have read here and hard forum)
The 550be(callisto) is much better chances of unlocking look here http://edgemeal.110mb.com/AMD_Unlock...s.htm#0922APMW

Good choices all around really, for gaming get a dual and oc ,for video encoding etc...get the 620

Its mainly for folding. I already have the 7850 CPU to hand and was just wondering whether or not it was worth picking up a MSI 785GTM-E45 to try and unlock any of the other cores.

Has anyone out there had any success at unlocking a 7850 at all? If not I might just save myself some cash and get a dirt cheap motherboard based on the Nvidia chipsets.

3.4-3.9+ on the 620 (generally) but your MB must be able to hit high Ref clocks.

The 7850 BE is really nil at this point. I have heard about unlocking the PhI based duals and trikes but never seen any substantial backup for these claims.

The 620 is great for Multi-Threaded DC on the cheap. I run one thread F@H and 4 threads Bonic, with GPU folding.
