What a beast, and for a fantastic price too considering the 5870.
Hats off to AMD for the fastest GPU until the next generation. Let's face it, Fermi is not going to take back the crown from the 5970 until Nvidia releases a GTX395 ( Assuming they will/can )

I can't read all those in one night.
Thanks for the links.edit -Pcper has a nice video review, that will help.
good news, hynix memory.

thank you ATi, you have made my day
i7 920 @ 4GHz 1.25v
GTX 470 @ 859MHz 1062mv
I seem to recall somewhere that Hemlock would use hardware load balancing so that profiles would no longer be needed to get performance from the extra core
Or am I just crazy?
As tempting as this card is though, I will have to bypass. Although I need something like this for my set up (got a 30 inch monitor), I will wait to see Nvidia's offering. I have a feeling that the GTX 380 will be almost as revolutionary as the G80 was.
Until then, my trusty overclocked GTX 285 is holding down the fort with ease....with the exception of Crysis of course![]()

Decent reviews. I'm happy enough with a single 5870 at 1920x1200 4x AA in 95% of the games I play for now so I don't feel the want, so to speak, to get one. If I ever touch a dual gpu card again, one thing is for sure, I will go full water on it to do my ears ( and sanity ) a favor. It will be really interesting to see how Nvidia compete with this.
The idle power draw is quite decent. I personally wouldn't want to overclock one of these long term with the stock cooler but that is just me.
The fact that it is slightly longer than a 5870 does scare me, granted this case would manage one... but I won't let myself wander off on that train of thought![]()

What i've noticed, is that only TechPowerUp! are using beta 5 driver. Could this be the reason for the insanely high results in Crysis, or it's some kind a mistake?
