I think most of MSI AM3 board are able to unlock the core(s) and L3 cache...
you should have a check to bios update...

check if there's an "A" bios beta for that board.. otherwise i'd say the bios dev team to provide one^^

Taiwan sent me this board about 3 weeks ago its a really nice little board and has a FULL Feature Genie BIOS like all d.f.i boards do. Like Oese said if the boards bios currently does not support it for the processor in question then they will develop one that does this has been true for a number of months now on all other AM3 boards BIOS from D.F.I that Oese and myself both have and test.

Could you post a review of this board? It looks like a very nice matx implementation of the 785g.

    Thanks

Well using 10/09/2009 "BETA" I can unlock my 720 BE to 4 cores so I would assume that the Athalon x2 can be unlocked

Yes its a very nice little board for the price considering the Feature full Genie Bios like its bigger brothers

For a HTPC system I cannot for see needing anything more and D.F.I through my personal experience of exclusively using their boards for the past five years I consider their motherboards to be Server Grade Stable and reliable

doing various testing atm, to get something nice out of my crappy x4 810 and my not so good crucial value 1gb sticks i use with this board (no money to buy better stuff i initially thought 1gb sticks would do better then 2gb but lol my 2gb run 833mhz whilst the 1gb sticks wont do 800 cl7 or 667 cl6 regardless of what board or what i do )

so atm i first confirmed that oc is like the big brothers, htt 320mhz was possible at stock volts for nb for few hours of prime.

oc is limited a bit cause i use passive cooling there atm and it gets hot but its silent as a htpc should be..

first voltage measurements indicate no horrible over- or undervolting (pretty accurate tbh) and using only 2gb of ram and 3 cores undervolted i can get idle power down to 55w without using a pico-psu or specially hdd trimmed for low power consumption If using these, i think 40w are conveniently reachable...

all in all real bang for the bug... i will post some pictures here i guess^^
