Gigabyte GeForce GT 240: New 40nm desktop card by Gigabyte!

This morning HWBOX.gr received an email from Gigabyte, regarding their new 40nm VGA based on NVIDIA GT 240 GPU. As we all know, 40nm fabrication process is becoming more and more famous day by day. That has a positive impact on overclockers, because the overclocking potential of these VGAs is completely unheard of ! Also, take into consideration the fact that the lower the nanometers of the fabrication process, the lower the power consumption of VGAs.

Therefore, without further to do, HWBOX.gr proudly represents you Gigabyte GeForce GT 240. Core clock is rated at 550MHz, while GDDR5 Memory (capacity of 512MB) operates at 3600MHz. After thoroughly testing the card, Gigabyte managed to obtain 5643 and 2059 Marks in 3DMark Vantage Performance Preset and Extreme Preset respectively. Seems to me like we are dealing with the new 9600GT.
