    [5770] Under dryice, some testing!

Hi guys, been a while since i had something subzero going on, picked up 35Kg of dry ice, just to test the mobo / cpu combo, and put the Xfx 5770 under dry ice! save to say there is room for improvement, but that wasnt really what the run was all about. LN2 results are next up...!

    first did some 06:

Sure i can get a bit higher, but gpu was limited due to the temperature, it'll go around 1200 or more with some liquid nitrogen.

next up was vantage, 03 and aqua were on the list aswell, but somehow i got a bunch of errors every time, think i installed it with a to high freq, o well.:

    Some pictures made during benching:

Was great fun, thanks snot_aap for the help!
turbo was bugged, think in relation with the coldboot that at -90 or higher life is better, same with the 5770, so next up, LN2!

    Awesome result...

I think you need more than cold on GPU you can flaying core higher 1200 keep pushing....

It's hardmodded, and mostly around 1.40 / 1.42 Vcore, but it'll go 1200 with LN2 , im sure. it's temp that's holding me back now.
And another 100+ on the cpu should give some more interesting things

My cards do 1050 @ 1.3v and stock fan at 100% speed, but were only stable with the temperature below 83 degrees whereas 1000 Mhz would still be stable even around 100 degrees.

I shall tinker some more with my Zalmans, but I greatly doubt that higher than 1050 Mhz is possible just on air. Some very lucky people might be able to reach 1100 Mhz on air, but that is going to be like 1 out of every 100,000 cards that manage that probably, maybe even less.

But 1000 on air with a little extra voltage should be easy for just about all 5770s.

I agree on 1000 core on EVERY 5770...But after 1020 each MHz comes very HARD!!!
I run 1,46 to get 1030 to bench!!!But then again i think that 80 degrees that my card produces causes that VPU recoveries that happen on higher clocks.I think its obvious this card needs AT LEAST water with one dedicated rad for achieving better clocks...

Yes, better cooling will give more Mhz on same volt
Don't worry that your card can do only 1030 on core with 1.46V...why don't you try it on subzero cooling?
