This is a carry over from the old BlingBOT build: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=217263
That system got dismantled when the economy turned and I though I was getting laid off. After surviving a couple of rounds of cutbacks, I decided to liquidate ALL of my 775 gear and splurge for i7 before I do get the axe so I bring you Project 安い (Yasui) which will consist of just the basics for i7.
I figure after downgrading from a Quad x3330 to a Dual x6800 down to a lowly Celeron on the 775 platform in an effort to save money and pay off debt, I deserve to splurge just a little. Luckily, after cleaning house and selling off nearly everything that wasn't bolted down, my out of pocket was minimal for the switch to i7. Since I have a company laptop (whew, not laid off yet!) I could afford to dismantle my main rig and sell it off to get the upgrade funds.

The initial shots:
I need to decide on where to mount my components yet. Previously this station held a rad on the side using the two fan mount L brackets at the bottom, but it was only a MCR220. I fear the BIX3 is too heavy for that simple of a mount. I may end up just making "feet" for the BIX3 and letting it freestand off to the side.
