I will wait a little bit before jumping on the 5850 or 5870. It will definitely be a huge upgrade from a 3850 that I currently use.

No news on the x2? And it's past the 22nd so that date wasn't right. If I'd had know it would take this long would of bought a 5870 already.

works on any 5770, the only difference in the cards is the stickers.

There is but there are NDAs in place for certain aspects of the Vapor-X card. Pricing is one of them.

is the chip that regulates the vMEM???

And if it is,should someone solder PIN7 to ground?(after finding the correct vr of course)

@SONDA5 i got 17250 on 06 with the CCC clocks!
U reckon i should flash the asus bios??Didt get a lot from stock to 960/1400...

Maybe 1050/1500 will do bigger difference!

musashi doesnt fit unmodded on 5770...After some modding and cutting a heatpipe a little and almost destroying the cooler i managed to fit it on my 5770!

dropped 15 degrees from stock cooler @50%!

I'm not sure. I don't have a HD5770 to play with.

17250 on 06 with Core 2 Duo is very nice score. Congrats!

Just open the card and put heatsinks on every spot i thought i should!Shame that 5770 does report memio temp...

Now i am temted to flash the asus bios but i dont know...

Should i???Temps are 28 idle and 48-50ish load @1,2 volts!!!
And with one heatpipe down...

Catalyst 9.10 disappears in Windows 7

Ok guys, was all stoked because I got my new Sapphire 5870 and Windows 7 Ultimate.
3dmark06, Vantage, and Heaven installed fine as well as 9.10 initially.
Got great and smooth performance in all.

After a while though CCC 9.10 just disappeared!
I tried reinstalling CCC and would get a BSOD even in safe mode.

Now I can't run any 3d apps without a reinstall.

I suspect it might have to do with microsoft Visual C incompatibility with CCC 9.10 but not sure.

Anyone else have this problem?

Gonna have to do the painful reinstall otherwise...
