    GIGABYTE EX-58 EXTREME2

As with the refreshed P55A motherboards, the EX-58 EXTREME2 motherboard carries the same “333” theme. The triple three theme means that SATA3, USB3 and triple power USB has been added to the new version of the popular EXTREME motherboard for the high-end Core i7 processors.

Strange, makes no mention of it being based on a revised X58 (e.g. X58a)

Some of the current UD5's have the revised chipset, so I am sure the new board will as well.

Told you I was not misinformed guys, progress is just slow on these things and they wanted things kept secret until everything was panned out.

Hopefully this week I will see if I can share more details of what I know

For initial release, are they just releasing the ex58-extreme2 flagship board? Or will it be released together with other X58A boards in the same timeframe. I don't want to wait another few months to be able to buy a UD4 or UD5 board.

That x58 EXTREME boards looks good, I've always been a fan of Gigabyte and their products. Though I wonder how much it would cost.

Yea, hw is expensive over here. But the price is actually not that bad if you compare it with its competitors: UD7 2550 nkr, UD5 2000 nkr, Asus P6T Dlx V2 2200 nkr, EVGA E758 2300 nkr.

Ouch that's bloody expensive, is that GB's top-of-the-range mobo?
I wonder if it'll be in Oz in 1wk too? Prolly a little later than Malaysia.

So can you release all that secret info you have now? Or is it already in the public domain? ;-)

That new x58 motherboard great, as usual. Loving Gigabyte's products, always innovative and feature rich and its one of the many reasons I like them. Why did they skip the UD6 number and went straight to UD7.

So the UD7 = Extreme2? So far it looks exactly the same. Any word on a UD5 or UD4 and their features?

Same, I got a golden batch waiting for a decent motherboard with usb 3.0. If I can get a UD4 or UD5 for around $300 USD, that's what I'm waiting for.

Where do you live? They've always been that in the US.
