Has anybody found their cpu has started to degrade after unlock/overclock?

Have MSI 770T-C45 Mobo and 550BE. (0925 CPMW)
I have tried to unlock and succeeded with Win XP Pro 64 and was able to play Crysis Vers 1.2 for over 2 hours, but when I rebooted the PC went into a reboot loop. I then tried to boot into Win 7 Home Premium and got the same.
I have tried unlocking at stock (3.1Ghz) and at OC 3.6 but no luck.
My board has the latest MSI bios 8.3. I tried upping the NB Vcore and the CPU but still no joy.
My specs:
Phenum II 550BE@3.6Ghz
MSI 770T-C45 Mobo
4Gb Corsair PC8500 @800 (will not stay stable @1066) DDR2
Radeon 5670 512Mb DDR3 Graphics
WD 500 Gb (Green) SATA2 HDD (Win 7 64 Premium Retail)
Samsung 160 Gb SATA2 HDD (Win XP Pro 64)
LG GGC20L BD/HD-DVD Rom/DVD rewriter
Coolermaster Extreme 550W PSU
Coolermaster Elite 340 Case with 2 x 120mm case fans.

Any help greatly appreciated.
