Yes it does benefit AMD directly by weakening their competitor by reducing their income. But in retrospect the Hydra chip will also correct NV's bad PR when it comes to SLi and I am sure AMD does not like someone coming in and correcting the ignorance of their competitor either. After all AMD can count on NV for acting like a 'bunch of dancing bananas'. One thing about always acting like a bunch of dancing bananas is that it makes you predictable. I am sure AMD and Intel love that about NV. NV still has not figured out yet that they can hide much more behind a smile then they ever could by bearing teeth. When it comes to business they are pretty much retarded and love to shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly. What a bunch of dancing bananas!
