Thanks for that- will be interested to see further progress

My 3845B260 does 4.2 @ 1.244 full load, LinX stable etc. Have serious problems with my GB Extreme above BCLK 210-215, despite my best efforts. Went all the way up to 222 easily on a friends EVGA 758 board, so may get one of those...

Nice angelreaper you got exact same batch as my w3520

uranium, your cpu looking good is that with peltier-chilled H20 ?

Next stop 4.2Ghz at 1.288v. i7 920 3845B260 seems to be one of those higher vcore low temp cpus - it runs around 0.05v higher vcore than my Xeon 3845 cpus but runs around 3-5C cooler than my W3520 3845A935 and around 10-13C cooler than my W3540 3845B010 at same clock speeds even with higher vcore requirements!

You got a good 45-lineup there
Up to 13'C difference at the same speed, sounds like a shame for that b-batch w3540. This is an important discovery, and maybe we need a new Vcore/temp ratio for judging the i7-batches.

    very nice cpu there mate

Trying to figure out max super pi 32M bclk headroom for this i7 920 3845B260 cpu and it looks very nice managing to boot straight from bios into windows at 227bclk bios set (226.8bclk) to run Super Pi 32M and then using Asus TurboV to push bclk to 228bclk (227.7bclk) to run Super Pi 32M. Ended up with screenie @229bclk (228.7bclk)

    System:
    • Intel Core i7 920 3845B260
    • EK Supreme LT 1366 / FESER 480 / MCP655
    • Asus P6T6 WS Revolution
    • Gskill Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD
    • 512MB Inno3D 8800GT OC Edition 190.62WHQL
    • 750GB Samsung SATA
    • Pioneer DVR-217 DVD-RW
    • Corsair HX1000 PSU
    • Dual Boot - WinXP Pro SP3 (nLite fully updated) with Vista Theme & Win7 Ultimate 64bit RTM

bios set boot into windows @227bclk

TurboV bumped to 228bclk and 229bclk

    Nice bclk eva
Is it the cpu that limits higher bclk or the P6T6 WS ?
How much PCI did you use ?

On my GB Extreme with 103 PCI this is max I can boot and run with stability:

Ok, I do not have a SS, but here is my validation for 4.8Ghz:

Batch is 3849B018 and was done under phase. It's on the Blood Rage after I did the PCIe mod and was able to take it to 231Bclk x 21.
