Could be worse, you could have a chip that you max the bclk out on air like me.....and no board to really take the chip to the next level

Praying the ud3r v1.6 has what it takes to take it to the next level.

Scratch that about having Polish 1# 3dm03 - I just dug out an old screenshot from 4x HD4890 with even higher score I couldn't submit it at that time because it would be in top20 global, and I didn't have ORB link, and later I just forgot I had it...

Hmmm, that reminds me I need to see if this is below top 20 yet.....forgot the orb file it was #8 when we did it.

On a side note I will be tackling 3d with a vengeance in the very near future, hopefuly I can grab us a few points.

Just submit it - if it's still in the top tweanty, it just won't get any points and be flagged with a triangle. Points will be awarded automatically when it falls from top20.

    Sounds good!
Looks like 2nd place for the 2x 4870X2 in 06 will be in the top 20!
Why don't you also run a single 4870X2 and get more boints with that?

    I have alot of stuff in the works..... 1x 3x and 4x 4890, 1 x and 2 x 4870 x2, and I need to reclaim my 4850 throne, 3x 4850's should fit the bill.

When I have free time I can tackle 2600 pro's again, hd3300 IGP and I have a new IGP on the way

Soon and this time I know what makes 05 tick so I should be able to improve my crappy 05 score's.

Yeah, would like a PM too here
All I know is 4 cores is best, you loose points with HT on and with 2 cores disabled on i7 ^^ But I guess everyone alredy knew that.

Got some stuff in the works here too but it'll be a few weeks before anything big happens...
The P8600 CPU that I was going to bench was DOA so I'll have to get that fixed...
My waterblock for the Q9650 rig is coming in this week so maybe we'll have some more Q9650 burning/benching!

231BCLK x 21 with HT and turbo enabled. I know it's not great, but it's a start. This is after I did the PCIe mod for the Blood Rage. I should have some time on Thursday to start benching and improving it. I did submit it, but I doubt it is high enough for any points.

    awesome start Utnorris

ht on @ 4.8ghz is above alot of people...you're definitely on this team

i bet you can do 5gh...

    1. try loosening the ram timings...
    2. ht off
    3. set to slow mode on the qpi...this slows down 3d benches...but with 2d benches like superpi...the high frequencies help alot.
    4. raise that pcie freq
    5. manage the bclk voltage so that it won't heat up the cpu too much...240mhz is prolly god with 1.45-1.495v..

******on your cpu-z the ram is somewhat borked...im not sure..but seems likeyour tripple channel is borked or your ram is borked

Yeah, it wasn't stable, froze after about 30 minutes just idling. Still playing with it. I will try those settings you suggested. I also have a 975 on the way, should be here Friday. Really going to concentrate on 3D Benches since my HD5870 overclocks so well.

benching is time consuming...i'll lay some basics notes so you won't waste time

remember 3d05..you don't need to run the cpu tests...crank your cpu here....use super pi to test for stability.. like 4m
06...xp is still king here versus vista... i have yet to try win7
03...also xp ....not sure if there are tests that don't need to be run
01..also xp....some tests don't need to be run

with your 4.8ghz try benching wprime32....its less than 10 seconds

**guys say if win7 is faster..i have yet to bench with it

I believe Vista and W7 are currently faster in '06. It's not the OS, but the drivers for Vista/7 are better.

3dm03 - you only have to run four tests on the top. Don't run CPU tests.
3dm06 - same story, but four GPU tests.

LOD helps a lot in 3dm03, don't know about '05.
