Water Cooling (If You Can Afford It)!

SSD Drive for O.S (1TB Drive For O.S is Pointless and a Waste)!

Hitachi 1TB Drive for Storage (Over WD Junk)!

Let me Know if you are going Water Cooling I have a brand New Black Ice Extreme 260 & Black Ice Extreme 360 Rads and also a Brand New Danger Den AMD MC Brass CPU Block all components were used for about 2 weeks then Upgraded to FESER RADS and EK Supreme Block so I could use compression fittings on my CPU Block for my Alien Liquid Lab Build ......Pics of the Alien Liquid Lab Build are Here on my Website>>>>http://www.communitycomputerrepair.c...g-systems.html

Seagate is great as well, and it is hard to beat a pair of raptors.

Unless we can get some idea of a budget, and preferably an indication of location so we can gauge local hardware prices and availability, the question is meaningless, as we can suggest improvements that would cost several thousand.

Yes I have 2x 250gb Seagate ES.2 Drives running Raid 0 on my Areca 1231ML Raid Controller and they are great drives indeed.

Hitachi makes excellent drives I have 6X 250GB Deskstars running Raid 6 for 3 1/2 years now with 0 Issues and have had 4 of the 6 drives for 1 /12 prior to running them in Raid 6 on the Areca ControllerI have 2x 74gb Raptors and they died in less then a year (Both of Them)! Have the replacements but they are loud as hell in Seek time but as far as speed is concerned they are great but for a Enterprise level drive I am not that impressed with them dying in the first year for $160.00 throw! Regular W-D Drives I wrote off a Loooong time ago they run Hot and have always died on me.

The DeathStar was IBM Drives not Hitachi! Hitachi really does make superior drives them and Seagate are all that I buy for Builds

    +1 on the heat!!!

I use Seagate and WD. I know Hitachi improved on the old IBM crap but I have never brought myself to try one but, I will for my next HDD.

I bought the system the other day.. some things forgot to include but not very important..

    monitor - asus vk266h
    kb - razer arctosa
    mouse - razer copperhead

Looking at upgrading my speakers next and I'll leave water cooling and SSD's for further down the track.

Speakers I'm considering are Edifier S550.

Also take a look at this set:

    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...s/224&cl=us,en

I know it's logitech and not some big fancy "speaker only" brand, but Logitech do make some outstanding speakers.

Also, a headset...if you can afford the Sennheiser PC350's I'd get one of those.

I don't think you really NEED any more graphics cards at only 1900x1200 resolution. I would think a 5870 should easily handle anything, even crysis. Really surprised that with that setup, you don't want to consider a 160gb X25 G2 for you OS drive. Would make level load times much shorter. If I could afford one, it would already be in my system.
