I can't bring a table, we'll need at least a couple of those.
We will probably need at least one PC with internet, so that anything (drivers, benchies, etc) we need can be downloaded to flashdrives.
Of course, everyone bring their mouse, keyboard, computer, cooling, monitor, cables, etc.
So tables, power strips, extension cords, maybe a network splitter and ethernet cables, flash drives... is there anything else non-obvious we may be overlooking?
every1 bring a ssd (1 or 2 people need raid cards, i dont have 1) and we can raid them and set a group pc mark record on HW bot for a random cpu, like a 939
5930k, R5E, samsung 8GBx4 d-die, vega 56, wd gold 8TB, wd 4TB red, 2TB raid1 wd blue 5400
samsung 840 evo 500GB, HP EX 1TB NVME , CM690II, swiftech h220, corsair 750hxi
Its official..I moved the 'mountain' ..and will be in the house, for the event
I have the following available to bring:
E8400 ES
E7400
P4 551
X1950pro
2x 8800GS
4850
9800GTX
2x1 RAM
solder station
VR's
Cap's
shop towels
2x packs of eraser
13.8v PSU + 6x 120x38 comair rotrons
and my laptop+sprint Wifi
optional:
D5 pump
PA120.3
extra keyboard/mouse
mointor..?
Please let me know if I need any/all of this...
I will be 'covering' the extravaganza for OCN as well. *If you plan on bringing a CPU to bench can you please list it for me...I would like to have a tally of the hardware we will be benching [GPU's as well please...thanks].

Anyone have a means of measuring input current to the cpu regulator accurately? Maybe an inductive clamp or something? It should be able to measure 30 or 40A with reasonable resolution and accuracy.
I have an electronic dc load box (set to short mode) that I've been using in the lab, but it's probably 40 pounds.
I could make a shunt or something, but if anyone has something that'd work,it would save me the time.
I'll be bringing the computer in my sig as well as a 975xe and evga classified or other x58 board (LMK what you prefer).
I also have a 16gb flash drive with windows installers on it (7 and xp). I'll toss other benching software on it so we can get up and running faster.

Ok..so far, this is what the 'bench list' consists of :
CPU's:
975XE
E8400 ES
E7400
P4 551
Sempron 140 unlockable
Athlon II x2 215
Phenom II 720be
GPU's:
X1950pro
GTX260
GTX295
2x 8800GS
4850
9800GTX
as of now...Mobo selection:
1336 - EVGA Classy
775 - BlackOps and MIIF
...and of course, a plethora of SSD's

I might take my i7 setup too but i have no overclocking ability on that yet
just got a couple of questions...trying to get a feel for what we got going on for this saturday..and getting the details of the event for post after.
How many people are confirmed to show?
So far, I have accounted for a total of 4x mobo's that people have said they are bringing....any more to add to the 'list'?
In order to accomplish the most out of this, I think we need to have a good game plan for goals/bench plans we will be shooting for...I would hate to waste all our precious time, "setting up"...when we should be benching. :o
Also...how will submissions be divided up..as far, as who is submitting what to whos HWBot? ie- Any plans on making a separate hwbot account for the event to track the benchies?
...Sorry if its a lot to think about...I just really want to make sure, we are all able to take advantage of this gathering to the fullest extent, and any results/submissions be easily recorded/tracked.

i want to beat a few scores on Hwbot under my account, should be no more then 30mins with ln2 after that i want to do a run with the 720be/gtx 260 for the gigabyte competition then after that we can do a joint account on hwbot for the event

im getting some sodas, pizza and chips now for sat.

so whos getting the dice/ln2 for the event ?
and how much is it going to cost per person ?

CL3P20 brought this to my attention.
Looks fun! I hail from Santa Rosa.
If there's room for another person, I may be able to make it for the second part of the day.
I have at least 2 GPU pots (2 in hand, 2 on the way), a Duniek CPU pot (not the best for LN2 on quads, but it'll do in a pinch) and a NB pot. I may have a F1 EE by then as well if the mailman is kind.
I can pitch in for some LN2 or even bring a little. I think I have 10-15L left in a dewar, but I won't have time to pick any more up before then.
Hardware I could bring:
Xeon W3570
Commando (Vcore and Vdroop modded)
GTX 295 FTW (single PCB, so not really freezable)
5870 X4
E8600 (not the best under LN2)
HX1000 and 750W Silencer
I have a P6T7, but I doubt I'll have time to prep it.
I don't have any specific personal goals (unless anyone has access to Helium to push my golden Celly past 8), but it sounds fun to bring some hardware and be social.
Edit: I may be able to pick up 50-60 lbs of DICE. THAT I can get during lunch on Friday.

that's a nice collection of hardware you got Patch
what would be the best way to insulate a mobo for ln2 ?
this will be my first time with Ln2 and would like to prep my boards before i go
Patch! You made it!! Sure hope your gonna be able to make it...I just prepped up the 4850/8800GT and 9800GTXOC..and getting other goodies together. Picked up some Armaflex wrap today..and some liquid tape for GPU's/mobo's.
*Gonna have camera setup with me as well..so we can get some good pics

Oh, my monitor is killing me with the poor resolution. I was wondering if anybody had a LCD monitor that they would be willing to give me or cell/trade me. thanks
How about this starting at about 12:00?

12pm sounds good to me. Its a long drive for me, so I guess that I could arrive a bit early or a bit late.
I'm glad to see that my dream of planning an LN2 event is coming true
I'll be bringing:
17" LCD for myself
Rampage Extreme x48
e8500, e8600, Pentium 4 Cedar Mill ES
F1EE
solid copper Mousepot
DD Phase unit
LN2
I will need to borrow a GPU from someone for the event, even a cheap one will do for CPU benchies.
I am bringing 25L LN2, and please feel free to bring as much as you have, Patch
People wanting to use some of the LN2 I bring will have to reimburse me. Each fill of the one liter thermos will be like $3 for anyone who wants to try it. Anyone who wants to try dry ice should just pick up 10 pounds for $10 at some gas station, and bring some acetone as well. Check out dryicedirectory.com for finding a supplier. Anyone wanting to try LN2/dice/phase should insulate their motherboard and CPU area thoroughly before the event.
The only piece I'm missing for my system is a way to connect my 3/8" block to my 1/2" pump. I have 7/16" tubing, so it fits on the 1/2" barbs tightly. Do you guys know where I could find fittings to connect 1/2" with 3/8"?

Going to have to pick up cirthix, so it will be better.
How long will the event be ?
I'll not be using any ln2 or dice myself, but whoever uses my board+chip surely will hehe.
I'm up for splitting pizza or whatever.
I'm messing around with my flash drive now to have it install xp32, server03 x86, win7x86, and win7x64, so if something craps out, we're ready to go.
Anyone have something to measure current with or should I make a shunt?

i have a fluke voltmeter that i found in my garage
I don't think it can handle the 30A that we may need it to measure.
