NVIDIA vs ATI on Batman, TWIMTBP, etc... ON TWITTER

SO, arguing on here about it isn't so bad when two employees are going at it on Twitter themselves, is it?

    http://www.hardocp.com/news/2009/10/...ng_on_twitter/

    http://twitter.com/Igor_Stanek
    https://twitter.com/IanMcNaughton

@Igor_Stanek Here is a fact: We provided the Dev with an AA solution-funny how that didn't make its way into the final TWIMTBP title... HUH!
@Igor_Stanek You should get the actual facts before you call someone a liar! But alas, that's just how NVIDIA Rolls I guess...
@PatrickMoorhead Charlie has become a sponsored site of his sole advertiser. His website looks like AMD ad. Man, this must be expensive.
@IanMcNaughton Enough. You failed to show any proof and all your arguments are baseless with only one reason to cover lame AMD dev support.
AMD between top 10 companies with highest probability of bankruptcy. http://bit.ly/a3q9J. Be shareholder of AMD must be a real pain.

Haha, funny. But with the last response of Eidos, in which they try to slide responsability to AMD, but in the end are assuming their own responsability (by saying that they were the ones who asked for free help to IHVs, and they were the ones who took the decision to left out AMD --and their customers-- as a punishment for not giving that free help) I think they should be charging against the ISV, not NVIDIA. If all that story is true, then Eidos are the one to bash. And if not, and Eidos is only covering NVIDIA, it's the same. Eidos are the one to bash. The next time, think it better...

Kinda entertaining to watch, probably going to be fun to watch for the time being. Though the AMD/ATI guy could always reply "5870lol" and come out ahead

This shows the true nature of our society and how techist we all really are. Techism is something that needs to have more awareness, the only answer here is to have the President of the US sit both parties down for a beer.

Of course it is. Better that it is, really. If it wasn't, why would they sell cards with this new chip instead of cards with the better (and older) chip?

Seriously, they always say the same. GT200 was also "the best chip they have ever created". And sure, it was. The same way every chip is always better than all previous generation.

I'd love them releasing a super-hiper-mega-giga-chip that smashes the current concept of performance/price, performance/watt, and so, I'd have a better product to buy when I upgrade my video hardware, but I wouldn't trust in something like that.

They always say the same and... what could they say anyway?

that nvidia pr guy is a bit weird...

    first he says:
My Core i5 750, P55 from Asus and 275 in SLI rocks. I love Batman in 3D with PhysX. Poor AMD..anyone interested in their desktop crap ?
    then he says:
I'm going to build tomorrow my Batman gaming system. I can't wait to play finally Batman in all his glory in 3DV with PhysX on high.
and a lot of the messages he posts seem to be random pokes at amd and random nvidia rocks...

i think the real issue is with the game dev though...
they asked amd to send one or several engineers over to their office to tweak the code and get aa working?
im surprised nvidia did this, and actually, im not sure nvidia actually did send an engineer or several over to work there...
cause quite frankly speaking, thats pretty retarded...

the smart way is to send an engineer over to epic and get aa and optimizations done for the ut3 engine, which will then work in batman and dozens of other ut3 based titles.

imo its hilarious to follow two pr guys, from multi million/billion companies, basically geek-slapping each other verbally in front of the whole world so when are they going to set up something like "IT gladiators" like american gladiators with pr guys and ceos and ctos having at it and kocking each other around?

god id pay 50$ to see it live, no wait 100$!

the ATI guy is saying that they made an AA solution but they threw it out in favor of TWIMTBP

RT @lalibrandi:PhysX and Fermi are definitely putting pressure on others. We recommend others to actually DO some work instead of complaining

    Yep

But I suppose a good AMD/NVIDIA employee should never miss a chance to hit to the rival company , so when the NV one called a "liar" to the other, the reply came as fast as the wind, and from there to the next...
