    you can't have bad yields if you get X amount of partial good cpu's if means your volume is high, failure rate is an unknown at this point.

    some chips might not be bad either just needed to make volume.

    at $58 this is steal with acc board. clock speed is low that is the only problem.

    I can see your point but I still see an issue.

    Why would AMD do this as there is already a CPU at this price point with the regor being $4 more? I could understand if they had been in a crunch but, this proc was released into a market that really did not need it. Perhaps they have a new stepping and want to clear the old out?

    Why not ramp up the mulit a little since it is locked?

    Could also be for bios/mb comparability reasons but I doubt it.

    I was pointing out that it is strange.
