    3DMark01 Team AU Edition!

    hey!

okay so maybe massman was a little bit over enthusiastic when he suggested p55 was going to take 3d01 wr, okay maybe massively over enthusiastic... but maybe he predicted 3d01 team au edition

firstly let me show you some other 3d01 results i have been working on!

    Platform:
    E8600
    Asus X48 Rampage Extreme
    GSKILL 2200C8 Elpida Hypers
    Corsair Nautilus 500 w/ Swiftech MCW30
    EVGA NVIDIA GTX295
    Sapphire Vapor-X 4890
    WD 300GB Velicoraptor

hey hicookie, i love hotglue man!

Secondly here I have been playing with 4890s on dual card, I thought this platform was good for a nice score, seems it is indeed. There should be alot left here, maybe the greeks can teach me 3d01 on ati because its obvious by a few tests here i have ALOT to learn...

Okay I guess you wonder, wtf is TEAMAU edition 3d01? Good question! I have added some ability to 3d01 to allow HYBRID score AKA in my run below dragos and nature are run on a 295 and lobbies/cars run on a 4890. This allows us to use the best of both worlds.. Possibities are endless here, maybea 4870 scores better in some tests, a 4890 in others and a mars card in some.. so combine them all Some of my tests here are a little sad, but managing two gpus with seperate clocks and speeds is a little more challenging than you might think!

Fully compatible with COMPARE url and futuremark, and i have locked other changes in the settings so people cannot mess around too much. I will rar up and release a binary for all to use in the next day or so!

So heres how it works. In traditional 01, there is a feature to change GPU, but if you do this, your score is reset, i have overridden this feature and also greyed out all the other functionality on this page so its DEFAULT or nothing...

i guess it is up to the community how they want to use this.. it might be just for fun or it might be fine for all benchmarks.. either way its SERIOUSLY fun for anyone that likes to play 01

Also here is a quick analysis of 5870 vs 4890.. both using the same driver, a little bit sad actually that the 5870 is looking worse than the 4890 at this stage

compare urls for all 3 coming shortly

    4890

    5870

Man where to start with this.

First of all single card wr, well that's a given for you.

Then someone actually bothering to push ATi's properly in 01, awesome.

But the biggest thing is the mixed ATi and nV benching. Revolutionary to say the least...how many years have 01 benchers dreamed of using ATi for system tests and nVidia for GPU? This is gonna totally rewrite 01 benching as we know it, and in a great way. The only complaint--where's the 140k?

I've never even run 01 since my dualcore opteron days or something silly.

    130+k is insane

Haha, this is fantastic. imo it should be used as a 'fun benchmark', IE for contests or something, or just a general show off.
    Awesome work really!
