    I would put it in a lower slot, but that lower slot is a 4x slot...

    Need a new MB if I want to do that, but I can't part my precious LE, I like it too much.

    Don't have a 5870 yet but for my 4870 CF rig I mounted a 250mm side fan to cool all the MB silicon and V cards. Some of those little chips get very hot.

    Would 2 5870's be faster than my 2 gtx295's single pcb versions.. or would i need a 3rd one...Running on the Evga 760 Classified..

    it depends on games you will play, but 80% of titles would be faster on 2x5870 because there is less scaling issues with 2 GPU's than with 4 GPU's.

    Will be faster in every single game once they tweak the drivers for Crossfire support.

    Depends on MANY things.

    Some games heavily optimized for nVidia will always be faster on nVIdia cards and vice versa.

    Some games work well with SLI. Some dont. Likewise for CF.

    Only way to tell is to bench it

    So if i ran 3 5870's there wouldnt be any question they are faster then..right..
