    DFI LanParty X58 JR + I7 920 & 975 Extreme/Single Stage

Hi guys, I and my friend Crash tested the DFI LanParty X58 JR with 920 C0 and Single Stage.

    Config:
DFI LanParty JR X58 Bios 508
    i7 920 C0
    Asus GTX295
    GSKill Trident 2000
Phase Change 1/2 HP by Dimas
    Win Xp no tweaked

    Max bclock is 225 MHz:

    3DMark 2005 and Aquamark at 4600 MHz

For last test we overclock more the vga but our cpu score is low for 4600 mhz, I think for the high VTT voltage

    Congrat DFI for this motherboard

    Tnx

Today it's very hot, I had 30 °C in room

    4600 MHz:
    Idle -15°C
    Full 13-15°C with 3mark 2006

I think that we have not very good contact cpu/evaporator

low cpu score... hmmmmm have you checked if the current feedback to the cpu is disabled?
otherwise the cpu can drop to 20x if its under full load, several threads like in the cpu bench, and that results in lower scores...
im not sure how to check it besides rmclock... and then check after the run if the cpu clock dropped during the session...

for higher fsb... you probably need a mod on the chipset

    Thank you

    We lose 150/170 point

But this motherboard is very nice

    P.S.
It's possible that our VTT is low?

make sure 21x multiplier isn't throttling under load and dropping back to 20x multiplier

For FSB wall.. not sure if you tried, but from what I experienced, FSB wall is sometimes related to IMC settings, try higher CL and set tRFC to some insane amounts. And.. why not use some PCi-E OC? Like 115? Or its not possible with this mobo? Ofc, just my idea..

next time we'll try with low memory frequency and more oc on pci-e.

now we set 1800C8 and 107 mhz.

    3dm 2005 and aquamark3
