Lian Li PC-G70 Worklog

Hello all i am new to the community but i have a new project i am starting and i would like to share it with you all. For this projuct i will just be water cooling the CPU the GPU will come latter or i might do another project :-D.

So lets Kick this off.

I have a Lian Li PC-G70 for the case will be powder coted white on the out side and black on the inside with blue coolant.

Case sorry i stared to work on it my mom was out of town with my camera.


this is the bare bones. i will post a complete pic latter

top of the case with slots for radiator this was cut on a CNC router got i love that thing.



This is a mounting plate the rad will bold to with flush mount screws then the top plate of the case will go over it and you wont see any mounting screws for the radiator.

looks like your going to be cutting off allot of the airflow for your radiator with that design. Id suggest something with wider slots, and thin bars going across.

Ya i had the same feeling at first to but then i did a test and surprisingly with hi speed fans it allows lets say 75-90% of the air threw witch is alot. and you also have to consider this is just cooling the CPU nothing else so that should be more then enuff.

But also it would be almost impossible to go back now. i really cant put it back on the machine unless i just use it for fans and move the rad witch i really don't want to do.

But other then that what do you thing?

Update i did a little work tonight got the reservoir positioned and the pump positioned. haha your right sorry my bad its been fixed.

also as you can see in the picture of the reservoir the mounts are a little to wide, i am going to make White frosted ones to tie them into the build a little more.

Yeah was going to say if you could just shave off a little bit on the edge would look good. Nice job so far. Keep up the great work.

Ya i was going to or i have another idea for them i will try and sketch them out and see if i can post of a pic of what im talking about latter tongiht. Thanks i was very nervios about cutting the top peace i only had one shot

It's so hard to cut parts... Don't rush it friend. I'm sure it will look nice.

Ya i agree for the plastic mounts odds are i will make new ones that are the right size. or i will just put them on a belt sander and sand them down. cutting that little bit off would be to much work.

Just a little update of whats going on.

today i got a new sheet metal break so i could bent that top plate for the rad and to my surprise after a few test pieces i got the hang of it and it turned out really nice. Tomorrow im going to get some flush mount screws so the top fits flush but that's not a big deal as of right now.

Now to the good stuff.

I final got my sleaving today form MDPC-x i have to say this stuff is sweet and the customer service is amazing. here are just a few pics of what i got i will try and get some sleaving done today.

Here is a big update for you guys i stayed up Saturday night till 4in the morning sleaving my PSU then all day today i was putting things together and i got a nice look at what the computer is going to look like i still have to get a GPU block then i will send it all of to get powder coated. Here are the pics.

PS the Gpu and mother bored are just for were things are going to go other then that there will be other parts that i showed above for the final build.

I just got my koolance water block for the GTX 295 i am going to take some pics of it and try and get it fixed to the card tonight and have some pics up for you guys. All i can say is this thing is sick looking!!!

So here are the pics of the water block and it installed on the GPU. I was in a hury as i have to get up early for class in the morning but it give you a good idea of what it looks like.

IMO really good layout- love the clean wc'ed rigs!

Only thing I wanted to ask- won't be there any vibrations if you mount pump way like this- straight on chasis without any rubber especially 18w version?

Thanks I love the look of the block I'm very very happy with it. Ya the pump is going to mounted with a thick fome tape then it's going to be mounted to the mb tray. But thanks for reminding me to get some :-)
