Nvidia will slash prices of the GT200 cards but 5870 will bring in big profits for ATI in the short term. This is not great for us, but in the long term it is great news because AMD will regain market share and force better competition in the future.

With ATI's lead in the current market, a yield catastrophe like this will drop nVidia's market lead to 30 or even 20 points, put AMD back in the black and prevent bull like "GTX 250" from happening again.
