so the ram is capable of running at this speed with those timings, but not at the 1:4 divider. seems to me like another bios bug.
Booting straight at 1600 C7 (1:4) is extremely difficult with the Phenom II quad cores. I could not get it stable on four different 790FX boards, stable meaning decent voltages and heavy multitasking tasks. Unless you are trying to set a SuperPi record, it really does not matter between C8 and C7 at 1600 in apps or games. In fact, I found 1333 C6 to offer a better balance of performance with 8GB installed.
