Do people think this is gonna be released as a desktop processor, or less than $2,000?

AMD must be getting nervous about Beckton. Should be some extensive demos in two weeks at IDF.

Doubt it, but this is an enthusiast forum. If Intel can dish out $1000 i7-975 McNothin specials people would likely pay 2k for 12 cores with a lot of fun potential. I mean you can take a $300 chip to OC to Intel Core i7-975. Having 12 cores is a niche and a damn fun one when you can OC to twice it's stock speed.
    i3 2100, MSI H61M-E33. 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws.
MSI GTX 460 Twin Frozr II. 1TB Caviar Blue.
    Corsair HX 620, CM 690, Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.

you think the 12 cores will come stock at 3ghz, i doubt it, more like OC to 3x its speed (with some LN2)

No they come stock at 1.8Ghz I believe the original thread said.

I don't think anyone is expecting 12 cores at 3ghz, but realistically a 2.4 to 2.6ghz part is quite doable. Maybe 3.5 (+/- 200mhz) on a very good air cooler with a little voltage!

and what does that has to do with this thread about performance and overclocking flexibility of AMD next gen K10 core(s)??
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

i was trying to say the OC would be 6ghz if people would get double the speed of stock. i expected these to be around 2ghz for tdp reasons

    Understood!

Would be nice to see a stock desktop part at 3ghz under 125 watts. Maybe on a 32nm node.
