    i7 870 Done Sub 7 PI32m & Suicide Shot

Sorry been busy not upload results and first time.
done lots comparison with BLMF & LYNFD
Socket 1156, 2 Chip platform which features IIH into CPU Die
but actually not much different with BLMF architeture
Dual Channel and PCIe lanes maybe weaks to BLMF
but Socket 1156, which core i7 and i5 has better price
Turbo boost multi & saving 50% power consumption.

I can't manage upload many pictures which i have done oveclocking
but with LYNFD's tech, QPI BUS to be virtual not phical
and uncore not need to be 2x more than memory CLK.
on P55 Platform, gets more potential in overclocking memory
thats good for memory manufacters. soon or later, possible
2300-2400C8 is best of Lynd for performance, and put some DRYICE
could make it fly to 2500-2600C8, thats the way for LYNFD's bandwidth
in memory side. love to seeing some bandwidth even just 2 channel
but higher than X58 platform, not be surprise.

talk too much? lots things and benchmarks i can't tell to in short time
but believe soon every could manage their P55 platform,
love to seeing, intel's architecture can move socket 775 (yup thats too old)
benching with vantage, you will feel with default setting on GA-P55-UD6
with Core i5 750 and beats all available CPU of s775, wich cpu scores to
13300 in 3Dmark vantage, and told again, default settings saving 50% power
consumption than QX9770, or Q9650. thats we will seeing the mainstream
is moving, also upcoming more cheap models and take over performance
even entry marketing. well done, Intel.

here is my latest results with i7 870
    Rig: CPU CORE I7 870
    MB/GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD6
    LN2 threated for sure.

max suicide shot for both BCLK and CPU CLK at -130c

Super PI 32m a quickly run make sure Sub 7 with LYNFD & Dual Channel

Also, ppl couris about what BLCK can stable, here
is a quickly run with 264MHz BCLK 32M which VTT treated 1.58v
and PCIe 112Mhz, i always run this mode.

lol damn that first screen shot is quite mad and the other bencies are not exactly bad ether, keep torturing that chip
btw is the p55 chipset still cooled with air or is it passive ? im also wondering if something like watercooling or ever more exotic cooling methods on the chipsed would yield even better baseclock speeds, or is the situation boring like with x58 and it does not help at all ?
ps. could we get pics of the setup?? plssss

thats a good point, cuz on x58 limitation on IOH's QPI signal
cool and higher IOH core voltage could help BCLK increasment.
on P55, IIH move into Die, and QPI to be vitural not phisci any
more, so you don't need to cool PCH, since they just give DMI
path between CPU and PCH, you just need to treat 4watts heatsink
for PCH. i could push BCLK 270 upper, now it looks more like BCLK
limit itself, so different CPU of s1156 core i7, core i5 could have better
    BCLK in the future.

here is a screen shot for VTT 1.60 feed Uncore 4.8GHz
tested with retail Core i7 870, i think both ES and Retails
have good BCLK ability. found this shot in my several
    thumbdrives

Now that's how you do it, excellent benching Hicookie! I'm amazed you were actually able to take even a suicide shot at 272 BCLK at 21 multi and only 112MHz PCI-E frequency (is that the sweetspot?)!

Gigabyte P55 boards seem very impressive, much more than the X58, but yea your i7-870 appears to be quite special as well.

I do like the RAM overclockability of P55 and will look forward to see what kinds of speeds we're able to run in the future but like the looks of it even DDR3-2500 CL9 everyday usage will be possible. lol

I don't expect to see similiar results like this in quite a while... not even from EVGA boards.
