My sammy is not even in a case. Got it stuck behind my computer desk. It runs cool and steady. Only time I have to fool with it is when the power goes out.

Not start up as in not POST or not even power on?

I'd check to be sure the 12V wires are on the right side.

Does not even power on at all.

Edit: i figured there is a problem with the 8 pin wiring so i moved to the correct order.

so now i get 5v 12v 12v 5v but still cant get the system boot up

edit: nvm, i figured what i need to do. i need to fix the 4 pin wiring now to get it 12v 12v 12v 12v. Time to do some soldering.

    Edit: everything is working now

For what it's worth I tested my two sammy 1 PSU box power usage. 212W from the wall. This is on an older Antec Smartpower 2.0 400W (or is it 450W? I forget) power supply with no PFC and definitely not 80+. I think it is mid-70's efficient. Power factor is an abysmal 0.65

With an 80+ unit I could see it pulling 200W or perhaps a tad less from the wall.

I'll bet all those failures were due to the bad caps. But those have been replaced so it should be good now.

My sossaman pulls 88w from the wall (with a PC power & cooling 370w).

You should be below 200w with an 80+ efficient PSU.

Anyone tried windows 7 on a sammy yet? I am thinking about it. That would have all my farm on windows 7.
